On Wednesday, May 28, French authorities evicted and bulldozed three immigrant camps located near the port of Calais in Northern France. The camps were housing as many as 800 immigrants fleeing disastrous humanitarian conditions in war-torn countries

Some "made risky, impromptu attempts to cross the British Channel", why do you thing they are at Calais (I would describe it as the major crossing space for crossing illegally into the UK as opposed to Northern France.

Sadly noted. Thanks, Cal! Seems that scabies is not the only plague.There's a horrific, right-wing, nationalist, xenophobic, and deadly epidemic sweeping much of the World. Would that a cure could be found...
