The Washington Post actually just published an opinion piece mocking sexual assault survivors and saying that women want to be raped. "Rape is real. No one wants to be a victim. Fire George Will."

Let me get this right, it's bad to ban books, but we can ban editorials? But has anyone actually read this? it's simple, he says rape is a crime and should be handled by the local police, and rape is a felony and the accused has a right to face his accuser in court, and the details of the alleged crime analyzed and discussed by a jury of their peers. His criticism is of a system where academia established their own definitions and retribution system.

The author, conservative columnist George Will, goes so far as to write that colleges are making "victimhood a coveted status" by taking public steps to curb sexual assaults on campus.
He even implies that non-consensual sex is not rape, when in fact it's the very definition of rape!

Well, yes...he DOES have the right to his ''opinion.''

Wonder if he'd stand up for a women's group which rapes men?

QUIT SLUT-SHAMING THE VICTIM. I sure hope Mr. Will doesn't have daughters. Or even sons--he certainly shows no fear of victim-blaming, and I'm sure any sons would have a sense of entitlement instilled in them by his own attitudes.

George Will may have a right to his opinion, BUT he DOES NOT have a right to trivialize something as SERIOUS as rape in a media that is read by the public. In This case the public has a right to demand his resignation Sometimes WE have to say NO!!!

I have signed petitions at C2 in support of women students at universities such as Harvard and South Carolina who had been raped on campus and were harassed by administrators for trying to get the perpetrators brought to justice. George Will doesn't have any idea what he is talking about when he suggests that universities are making the "victimhood" of students who have been raped a "coveted status." He certainly fails to make a case that there is any distinction between rape and some non-consensual sex, and that the "coveted status of victimhood" is a result of progressive politics. He is an embarrassment to journalism and should be fired from the Washington Post. Signed and noted. Thanks, Cal.
