Environmentalists are formally urging President Barack Obama to enact trade sanctions on Mozambique over the country's alleged chronic facilitation of elephant and rhinoceros poaching through broad swathes of southern Africa.

Too right !Time someone started bringing sanctions against all these countries that are not doing enough where the elephants ivory etc are concerned A lot of them do not care enough to stop the poaching and a lot are just corrupt and greedy

It is sad that we try to fight rhino and elephant poaching, yet Safari International and other a**holes who pay enough money are allowed to kill the animals just for the "fun" of it...

Only if oil is involved will our so caring western governments act!!!Then we have the hunters..trophy,canned all for kudos..what sort of a message does that send out..they blatantly bribe to kill,so that's not poaching??!

It's not just the poachers that need to be stopped, it's the whole chain, plus police etc. along the way.

it would be ok if only poachers should be punished ,but when punishing all people it is then a crime, just like a poaching
