Please boycott seafood that is caught with driftnets/ gillnets and trawlers- animals such as sea turtles and whales are caught and drowned in these nets- then callously discarded as "bycatch"...

The EU is equally guilty of this it's done in order to artificially inflate the price people pay for their fish. It's an insidious practice and should be outlawed.

Weird the the article redirect me back to Care2, but wouldn't the suggestion that "Establishing scientifically based bycatch limits is critical for maintaining healthy fishery resources and for fishermen to avoid financial losses from continued overfishing" actually maintain if not increased fish thrown back, as that is one of the reasons it is done today?

Born in Europe after Wolrldwar II we all had to learn to apreceate food and of course do not litter such precious things! And knowing how many people are going hungry each single day it is a crime to through this fish away!
