He pointed fingers at liberals who refuse to criticize surveillance under President Obama's administration. During the segment he said, "If this was happening under Bush, liberals would be apoplectic

This cuts across all politcal lines. doing nothing or just blindly backing an intrusive government program works against securing the rights of all citizens to the security and privacy they are entitled to.

You're right Call, if you see something wrong, just say it. Everyone should get better at this,

CONservatives didn't mind it under Bu$h the Le$$er..but real Liberals don't like it at ALL. Pres. Obama should not keep Bu$h Leaguers in power by keeping them in high offices, allowing them to "help" make policy, or continuing their UnConstitutional practices! Obama is a constitutional lawyer, WTF is he thinking??? Just because HE didn't prosecute Bu$h Leaguers doesn't mean the Next RepubliCON Pres. WON'T try to Prosecute Him!

I very much agree with Maher. This is why hardly anything gets corrected. Too many people protecting their own party right or wrong. I grew up with Question Authority....that didn't exclude even the groups I might of belonged to be they political or otherwise.

So BOTH Parties are wrong in this and in other areas. One some issues the fault lies at the feet of one or the other, and all of us, have to put some blame upon ourselves if we are apathetic and protect the wrongdoer if he or she happens to be someone we like, we need to call them out. Remember, even our parents who loved us, still told us we were being "sh*theads" when they saw we were not walking in a good way. Well maybe not s-heads, but you get my drift. Just because they represent the Party we like, doesn't mean we remain all quiet on everything.

Noted. Thanks, Cal. I never miss Real Time and agree completely, too. I criticized Dumbya every single day for years. I understood why members of his own party weren't critical of him; but after 9/11, even the majority of Dems never took him to task.....it took a long while before the criticism began. So, I breathed a sigh of relief the day Obama took office, but soon was questioning his appointments of Republicans, as well as many of his other choices. Now, it's become difficult to support his standing on various issues....he's become "Republican-Corporate-Lite."
There IS a wing of the Dem. party that challenges him: the Progressives, of which I am a proud member. Doesn't seem like we get much "media time" though......
