A new study published Sunday by the journal Nature Climate Change concludes the much-debated Keystone XL pipeline could produce four times more global warming pollution than the State Department calculated this year.

Nature takes energy from the sun; we have not learned from it...

Actually not the pipeline, the oil will. But the question is how does it get to market.

It is true that the oil will. We can slow it down and make it more costly by not allowing the pipeline. That will give us time to develop clean sources of energy that will not endanger survival of life on this planet.

I read this today elsewhere...hopefully this will be the end of the KXL debate, however, also read the new GOP platform that they plan to push if they win the of the top is KXL approval and making Mr. Obama look anti-American, anti-worker if he doesn't approve it.....

Who are the ones who really addicted to oil and gas? The government is the who so addicted to it.

This simply means that the pipeline would contribute to global warming faster. As long as humans are taking oil, natural gas, and coal out of the ground, they'll find a way to ship it to a buyer who will burn it.

The elections are 2 1/2 months away I.e. about 10 weeks. We need to contribute Time / Money now to be certain that we have a chance to win Congress. And I want to get my bike serviced so I can use it instead of the car.

No pipelines--and if it weren't 4 our 7 plus billion population this wouldn't even be a topic.

Alternative energies are being stolen from mankind from greedy oil corporation tycoons and others who seek to profit from dirty fuels and do not care about the planet.

No one wants this. Just the corporations. The government is not listening to the voice of the people. Oh, I forgot. It IS listening to the people: I forgot corporations were people.
