As protesters continue to stand against the proposed Dakota Access Pipeline in North Dakota, facing off against heavily militarized police and their water cannons, rubber bullets, tear gas, and tasers, they have gained broad support

A thousand blessings on them! Maybe when veterans - who risked their bottoms for what this country represents, or at least is supposed to represent - are amongst the water defenders, the Army Corps of Engineers will rethink evicting them. Maybe.

ND's governor has said he doesn't think Morton County should be who enforces the eviction (normally their job) suggesting the State won't fund the cost (and at this point all costs are now state-funded) and Obama and DOJ would be perceived as attacking the vets, in addition to not doing their human rights jobs in the eyes of the world, if they intervene on that side...and the timing should permit the plans to move elders and children to safety to happen this time with the additions for the front line

I hope these brave people come to no harm and they get the support and respect they deserve. It's the right thing to do.

It can only help the effort to protect the water. Kudos to the military veterans who are making the sacrifice to go help the Sioux protect their water. We must treat our veterans better because they and their families do so much for our country.

Read about this last week. I also read that the Army Corps of Engineers has ordered the water protectors to leave this week. The drilling is already underway under the Missouri River.

Please read before you send anything to Standing Rock, share and make calls
Heres one source, and call your shipper to get the update whats happening with their supplies sent to North #FossilFree603NH
November 25 at 7:52pm ·
Amazon says the police are blocking deliveries to #StandingRock addresses. Many who want to purchase supplies on the Amazon list, can't.
Some want to purchase a full body armor. We need new addresses or another way to send supplies.
This is the address we tried to use:
Sacred Stone Camp, P0 Box 1011, Fort Yates, ND 58538, (701) 301-2238.
Will you call Amazon (1-888-280-4331) now and tell them they should not be taking a political position on this issue, especially during the busy holiday season! If they are not, we'd like a list of the suppliers we cannot use so that we may make purchases for #StandingRock. Will you help? ♡

Actually there are now at least 1,500 Veterans coming.

The Chairman of STanding Rock said the notice from Army Corps of Engineers stated no fishing, hunting nor camping. He said they are not fishing or hunting and they are not recreational camping as they are there to exercise their rights of free speech and redress. They are not moving.

And yes, I heard the same Jeff drilling has begun under the River - the Company has ignored every request and law and if anyone should be arrested it should be them - not those pointing out the problem.

Noted. Thanks, Cal.
Glad to read that the numbers going have increased. There has been so much violence caused by the 'militarized police' that I hope the veterans get there soon.
