People are economizing. Starbucks need to diversify, have a product or service that people absolutely need as well as the fancy coffees. It's hard to come up the product that people absolutely need. They could have a less expensive bakery, as well as the fancy tidbits, for the wealthy and offer an easy breakfast snack. We all need to make more money and create jobs. Have regular brain storming sessions to find your ninch.

GOOD! It is about time that North Americans start creating real products again. Our Canadian economy sometimes seems to be made up of nothing but service sector jobs. When the economy takes a downturn or the cost of energy continues to increase, people will have less disposable income for treats like overpriced coffee and the endless supply of nicknacks that people fill their houses with. Guess who will be out of work. Yes, those service sector people who don't make much money in the first place. I say, STOP sending ALL of manufacturing jobs to China! They make "cheap Chinese shit" that is often of substandard quality and ends of in the garbage long before it should. They also likely have much lower (or no) environmental and human rights standards than in North America. Real jobs for our citizens is what we need to keep our own economies going strong. I wish these laid of people all the best.
