As his campaign slips into oblivion, John McCain has adopted the traditional Republican tactic of simply making stuff up, throwing it against the wall and praying to God it sticks and “turns the page” on the economic crisis created by Bush-McCain policies. But the thing is, McCain is on record attacking this very sort of politics. And tomorrow, he’s got to face Sen. Obama and a townhall meeting of American citizens, and quite likely defend this dirty campaign. Maybe he can do it with a straight face, but my guess is he’s quite likely to punt.

McCain...the coward who cried "Wolf!"

Fewer and fewer Americans believe McCain these days as his credibility sinks just as fast as the economy.

It's not so much an accusation as a statement of fact.
