€5,000 really is nowhere near enough for what she did. I hope she's found mentally ill or something and locked up in an institution for ever and ever and ever. (usually I believe in treatment and reintegration but i can't see how a disturbance like this could be fixed...)

I am glad they found her and that Bugojno has animal protection laws in place. There needs to be early education on animal and environmental protection, so children learn personal responsibility even when parents are ignorant.

I really hope that this young girl gets charged severely & gets jail time!!!! The poor puppies, this is so so sad!!!!

The article simply states that animal abusers can be fined UP TO € 5,000, but makes no indication of how much this young girl (or more likely, her parents) will be accountable for. Any amount is not nearly enough, especially given that this girl did not only abuse these puppies, but murdered them. I know nothing about Bosnian law enforcement, but saw nothing in the article about jail time. Does this mean that animal abuse is punishable by monetary loss alone? Not sufficient.

Are there any updates with this ? I cannot find anything online & am hoping she does not get away with committing this horrible crime.
