*Nowhere are dolphins and whales safe, threatened as they are in an ocean 'managed' and mauled by commercial fishing corporations. Their MO - virtuous greed, results in stripped resources, dumped waste contaminated with heavy metals such as mercury ...

man needs to leave the animals alone unless it is to love and admire them for what they are, beauty in nature.

Thank you Robert!

How can we stop the killing? If Greenpeace is collecting money to protect the whales and than decided not to protect them how many people do you think appreciate this.....
they will not just turn their back on Greenpeace but on all big organisations!

Sea Shepherd is the only whaledefender that deserves your support!
How do we stop the killing?
Education?
Press presence at the killing side? CSI like? Crime scene investigation oceans.....
Boycotts?
Violent protection of the whales and delphins real defenders armed with weapons

Sea Shepherd uses innovative direct-action tactics to investigate, document, and take action when necessary to expose and confront illegal activities on the high seas. By safeguarding the biodiversity of our delicately-balanced ocean ecosystems, Sea Shepherd works to ensure their survival for future generations.

Sea Shepherd's primary mandate is to assume a law enforcement role as authorised by the 21-24 of the ‘World Charter for Nature’ as adopted by the United Nations General Assembly on November 9, 1982 which provides authority to individuals to act on behalf of and enforce international conservation laws (specifically- in Section 21 [paragraph E] it says: ‘States and, to the extent they are able, other public authorities, international organizations, individuals, groups and corporations shall: (e) Safeguard and conserve nature in areas beyond national jurisdiction’).

The Japanese are sending an armed warship to protect there fleet and as the 'Rape' of the world oceans continue, as the fisheries collapse, I believe we will see more and more foreign fishing fleets escorted by warships!

RE: the Japanese sending a warship to protect their killing fleet -

This will be a gross violation of the Antarctic Treaty. This will most likely not deter Japan. The Japanese whaling fleet has been in violation of numerous international conservation laws over the last twenty years by targeting endangered species in an established whale sanctuary in violation of a global moratorium on commercial whaling.

The Sea Shepherd Conservation Society is not overly concerned about this threat.

Sea Shepherd has gone head to head with many different navies in the past and survived without injuries or being apprehended.

Sea Shepherd is not intimidated by the Japanese Coast Guard.

The more drama, the better. The more action, the better. The more controversy, the better. The more this becomes an international incident, the better it is for the whales.

The Sea Shepherd Conservation Society is no stranger to high seas showdowns!

Humans have becoms the virus of this beautiful plannet that holds an aray of wonderous animal soles. If the humans that have become lost in heart over run those of us who are intelligent and hold life preceious, then all is lost. Those who do harm to animal life need to remember that they did not create the life that they are harming and therefore that life is not theirs to destroy. No life is for destroying. Live with compasion in your hearts.

If japan violates the Antarctic Treaty, why not violate the international laws and sink their ships (after removing the crew)?

Why the f*** not?
If they can abuse laws, why can't animal rights activists do the same?
