Israel will pay price for settlements. Conscientious Europe is starting to wake up to the horrors visited upon the Palestinians by the British "Empire"--and not a moment too soon!

Thanks, Sam.

I'm hopeful (but doubtful).

Still, I'll keep my fingers (toes and legs) crossed.

*C legs crossed may be a good idea..;)
thank you Sam, great post although it could have been even better had the US media the balls to CITE certain quotes!
"Last week, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused the EU of unfairly singling out Israel for settlement construction while ignoring Palestinian transgressions. "
and deputy foreign minister, Zeev Elkin ""While they are condemning us with every construction announcement, there is no declared condemnation about the shooting attacks from Gaza or the escalation in the region."
What Netanyahu actually said is this: (Süddeutsche Zeitung)"..Israeli embassadors are called in because of the construction of SOME HOUSES , while there's no reaction when Palestinians call forI Israel's destruction"

Ok, "Israel's destruction, " shooting attacks from Gaza", "escalation in the region" -as if the world were blind and didn't KNOW what is and has been going on and WHO ALWAYS triggered it! I bet it won't be long and Israel under Bibi WILL stand isolated and shamed, really wide this time! and rightly so. YES, BDS IS growing here, only my own country still needs some push to label correctly. Our parties are working on it ,though.

Luckily our new foreign minister, Mr Steinmeier is NOT a right wing nut and things will hopefully change now on many levels-that applies also to US relations.

is it any wonder when more and more countries are sick of dealing and making business with notorious liers and chadbands, while he was calling THEM the same FIRST?

Israel's historical record and policy is not one of 'restraint'. Did anyone ever see the 1973 Golda Meier interview (yes, I know, which one).
There's more to the boycott movement than apparent, the momentum started and is building.
Not doubtful, but South Africa didn't have nuclear weapons and the willingness to blast it's neighbours to smithereens.

Europeans will never cause any serious harm to Israel. They have created and endorsed Israel since its early years of emergence. They are trying to "save face" and improve their relations with some Gulf states and . It is a temporary threat and not permanent. For the time being the threats are some how effective and promising but we cannot put high hopes on it.
Thank you for sharing

Let's just hope Farah's prognosis won't be a self-fulfilling prophecy! I tend to disagree with that view and hope that even Europeans by now are sick of AIPAC rule.

Thanks Sam for posting.
Thanks Angelika for drawing my attention to this post.
Thanks Jess for the link of gldamaire interview.
Do you think EU is serious of what they say? or it is just blowing a ballon with a hole, if UE are truely saying so lets see on the ground what they will do?? why they still support the IDF????
Lets hope that they awaked up and their minds are free from the Zionest occupation and US.and stand up saying their word of justice and do practically.
UK for example to correct its minister mistake of giving the IDF Palestine land, and to return to its law of following the human rights crimes and criminals as it changed it in order not to capture Sivi Livni when came to london and disappeared soon after 2008- 2009 attacking GAZA.and her soldiers crushed Racheal Corrie with US Bildozer in Rafeah south of GAZA.

Pessimists are soo inspiring. Frankly, i think using the original title to where you've linked would have probably drawn more attention to ths post. Some might have passed it by thinking of some financial crash again.
