This petition is directed to the wrong recipients. This race is run by Colville Confederated Tribes members (as a rule) and has become a part of the local culture. While the Suicide Race is held in conjunction with the Omak Stampede (Rodeo) the Suicide Racers are an organization unto themselves. The best you can hope to do with this petition directed at the City of Omak or the Omak Stampede Inc is to get the Suicide Race separated from the Omak Stampede organization.

Locally, protests by PETA and others have simply been considered free advertising for the entire rodeo. The more that is said publically about it, the more people come to see it.

Suicide Racers Owners and Jockeys Association is the sole entity controlling the Omak Suicide Race. Their website is at:
