Will you take the next step and call the governor and senate president's offices directly? Tell them to stop the State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners from shutting down non-profit spay/neuter clinics that serve caregivers and animal rescue groups.

If you get their voicemail, leave them a message to make sure they know why you called!

Governor Robert Bentley: 334-242-7100
Senate President Del Marsh: 334-242-7800

I sure wish I could be in Montgomery today, but I had way too many obligations at work & in my personal life to be able to go. I'm going to be sitting here on pins & needles all day. The cat I used for a picture is of my little girl Twinkle for those of you who don't know.

Ginger. That is such a beautiful calico for your picture for this article. Now that I am working again, I do not get to comment as much on articles but I want you to know that I do appreciate your news.

Good news: Board rejects rule that could have hurt low-cost spay, neuter clinics. I just posted a news item about it.

Thanks everyone for signing. Thanks Betsy, I adopted her from my local humane society a few years ago.

Signed....thanks. It's very upsetting to think that some of these legislators are trying to balance their budgets by eliminating "social programs" and programs that can only help society and everyone's quality of life....even those that don't have animals.

This must be one of the most ridiculous decisons ever to be argued over. How can anyone NOT sponsor low cost spay/neuter? Would they still prefer thousands and thousands of innocent cats and dogs to be destroyed every day, every week, every month of every year???
