On Sept. 19, the dog's first owner came forward and told authorities she sold the dog to a couple in Worcester. That couple sold the dog to a man who lived at 89 Whitwell St. and confirmed Czerkawski's identity by his photograph.

The case is still under investigation but will probably head to the Grand Jury. There appears to be no motive. Czerkawski faces up to 5 years in prison for each count of animal cruelty, a maximum of 55 years. His passport has been revoked. Pre-trial hearing is set for November 21.

Everytime I read about Kiya/Puppy Doe, the tears well up and I'm shaken to the core. I cannot begin to imagine the pure hell and fear she endured. I hope there is justice in this case and I hope that Kiya's story will never be forgotten and be a reminder of all the helpless animals who need love, care, protection, defending and assistance. Thanks for sharing Ginger.

This tragic story breaks my heart. Why would anyone trust this sadist scum with an animal? You just get a feeling about people. If people lack good judgment, they should confer with a rescue org that goes above and beyond to screen people to aid them in rehoming. They know what to look for and what questions to ask. Plus, they are great with getting that "gut feeling" on scum like this *sswipe. Rehoming pets on Craigslist or the newspaper, maybe not such a great idea. RIP sweet Puppy Doe.

I hope, I pray, I wish that this perverted monster will encountered a really tough guy in prison,
who shows him the never-ending pains of hell ...

R.I.P. sweet little soul - Puppy Doe

I am filled with sadness and sorrow for this innocent life and soul, Puppy Doe. I cried when I read the report. The justice system will deal with the perpetrator to the limit of its provisions, but there will also be judgement of another order for the evil that Czerkawski committed, whether we call it karmic or otherwise.

There is just not enough justice on earth for this poor innocent puppy - to be tortured to death they way she was is more than unforgivable. This bastard sob should be taken in by animal lovers and necklaced - douse him in petrol and let him burn - he must be made to feel pain, fear and terror of the highest form for what he did.

Such a tragedy for this sweet, innocent puppy! I have cried many tears just refleccting about what this poor dog must have experience- the fear, the constant pain, and just wanting to get out of that horrible situation! Since he has been convicted on 11 accounts and with each count he could get a maximum of 5 years, he could get a sentence of 55 years. Now that would be justice!

This poor little pup is now across the Rainbow Bridge and is healthy and happy. It is heartbreaking what this innocent soul endured at the hands of this vile monster. I hope this human garbage dies in agony and his life is short. This POS does not deserve to breathe one second longer.

Toute cette histoire est vraiment triste. Ce meurtrier ne doit plus avoir le droit de posséder ni même s'approcher des animaux.

The photo above is NOT of pit mix Puppy Doe found tortured, broken and lifeless in a Quincy, Massachusetts park.

The photo above is of St. Bernard Puppy "Doe" who was horrifically tortured and mutilated by PRESTON ODLE & LEVI EVANS OF DRESDEN, TENNESSEE. Doe (above) was beaten, kicked, stabbed, hung from a tree, her teeth pulled out of her head and eyes gouged out. Like pit mix Kiya, she was euthanized due to the extent of her injuries.

I have capitalized their names lest this horrific crime NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!
