In Germany, massive resistance to genetically engineered (GE) foods, both among politicians and the general public, has caused chemical giant BASF to move its genetically modified plant science headquarters from Germany to Raleigh, North Carolina.

BASF -- an often-convicted criminal organization, btw -- may move some offices out of Germoney; but they certainly have been and are continuing to contaminate the local genepool with their (whet they mostly call) "research"-fields (which amazingly often 'happen' to be located e.g. near bio-seed-facilities, too)

" Possibilities to improve a plant by some genetic modification are slim... The effects a specific gene will have...are hardly predictable. Furthermore the success rate of genetic manipulations are low, can hardly be controlled... there's other unwanted effects... " -- ibid. (my amateur. transl. )

May Germany's mentality about GMOs spread everywhere. We're barely starting to understand the genetics of species as they are, never mind creating frankenspecies by firing the DNA of other organisms into their nuclei!

More GMO problems. The whole science should be stopped everywhere. Thank you, Ellen.
