I recently met a woman whose son in jail at Sugarland, she has to work an extra job to pay for his incarceration. This is insane. We already pay for jails and prisons, and this privatizing of something that is meant to be fully funded and operated by the government is a complete disaster. Stop it now.

personally, I would just as soon see jails go back to bare bones...a cot and bread & water, no tv, no fringe perks..maybe they wouldn't get so overcrowded.
