It is sad to see a soldier died for his country, and yet his dieing wish was not fulfilled immediately. His dieing wish had to be fought in the court, with lucks on a dead soldier side, a dead soldier had won and his dieing wish had came true. A Wiccan

Thanks Ben. Personally I think if I were her, I would have spat in his face. It's about damned time for more than an apology. This woman was made to suffer MORE than the loss of her partner, but the stress, financial strain and media attention caused by her having to FIGHT for what is only right. It was a disgrace that this occured at all. I thank her for her determination and fortitude.

The president did not decide what symbols could be placed on the graves of the fallen. I believe that is decided by military graves registration. That was decided years ago and is only being changed bit by bit as time goes by.

There's been controversy about having symbols that weren't of mainstream religions for military members for years. I remember not being able to even get dogtags with my faith on them...Witch, btw. :) I couldn't even get atheist. They weren't recognized. You couldn't have them. Period. I managed to get them anyway, but the Air Force wouldn't acknowledge my religion.
