Are we living in the 21st century ? Just look at their scared faces. How could any human being be so cruel?

I am not watching, I am afraid if I do I will go on a "cleansing" spree of the world. I have to leave this place. The more I see of what humans are doing to the world, the more ashamed I am of being a human being.

Thanks heavans Four Paws came just in time to save mother and baby.

None the less, I will still dedicate my prayer to all those that have gone and safegurad those that are still living.

We should nurture compassionate thought. Since we wish to live, we should not kill any other living being. Furthermore, the karma of killing is understood as the root of all suffering and the fundamental cause of sickness and war, and the forces of killing are explicitly identified with the demonic.

The highest and most universal ideal of Buddhism is to work unceasingly for permanent end to the suffering of all living beings, not just humans.
'With the Medicine Buddha mantra you can liberate numberless sentient beings from oceans of suffering and bring them to enlightenment.' - Lama Zopa. Tayata Om Bekanze Bekanze Maha BeKanze Radza Samudgate Soha

I had to find out,

A PREGNANT orangutan protectively hugs her daughter as ruthless Borneo bounty hunters move in for the kill.

As bounty hunters with bush knives entrapped them in a circle and moved in for the kill, the only thing this mother orangutan could think to do was to wrap a giant protective arm around her daughter.

The pair seemed to be facing a certain death as a gang of hunters surrounded them in Borneo, keen to cash in on the palm oil plantations' bid to be rid of the animals.

But, happily, a team from the international animal rescue group Four Paws arrived in time to stop the slaughter and saved their lives.

The pregnant mother and daughter were captured and moved to a remote and safe area of the rainforest and released back into the wild - but not before the mother was equipped with a radio device so she and her young can be tracked to ensure they remain safe.

What's happening in the Indonesian rainforest is just heartbreaking! Thankfully, there was a wonderful outcome for this mother & daughter!

Link to article:

I was unaware that executives of palm oil companies are paying their employees 100 dollars for each killed orangutan. I will be reading labels more closely & avoiding this oil in the future. I'm so glad that raw coconut oil is not responsible for these heinous acts in Asia. I use it regularly, because of it's health benefits.

Humanity certainly deserves to go extinct, at least great part of it. This is unbelievable.

I am glad that these 2 are saved but the killings are still going on. Stop buying anything with palm oil will help saving them. I really agree with Carolina, humans should go extinct, not other animals (I don't mind being gone if this will let other animals live)
