Controversy is brewing over the fatal shooting of a dog residents had doted on and declared the "Town Dog" after it showed up during June's flood. Members of the County Humane Society Board call the shooting "the ultimate betrayal of man's best friend."

If I had my way I would tie Buddy's killer to a truck bumper and drag him a few blocks. I am so sick of this kind of malice. Anyone that would do such a thing does not deserve air. Why aren't we pushing harder to stop this kind of thing?

This dog "Buddy" was clearly the Town's Dog & for some non-caring person to tie him up without water & tell the person to take it is wrong & even wronger for that person to let that dog be tied when she knew it was the Towns Dog & was allowed loose to come & go.. she should have reported this to the Authorities for this was wrong.. No one has the right to take a Dog Adopted by the Town & chain it & not care & for it .. somethings not right here & "Buddy" paid the price as well as the Towns People that cared for him.. & I don't believe any part of the story that is given about this dog.. & the penned with Goats or his biting less these people are the ones that forced the dog in the pinned in the first place.. I believe the dog would NOT do anything to hurt the people that took him in.. I hope they DO look into this farce story... its stupid & the people should pay for killing a Great Dog as Buddy...
