Better that he got his cat than the shelter putting it to sleep.

The man has cancer, and may not live out the year. He needs his cat. It is ridiculous, that an owner whose animal WITH a tag and contact info was NOT contacted.

If they want the money for the cat they should go see the neighbor who took the cat to the shelter in the first place, it should be his responsiblity to pay the fees. And, the kitty had tags with the mans number on it, why didn't the shelter call him?! I say leave him alone and let him have his cat!
Thank you Betty.

This is outrageous! I agree with Kathy. Let the neighbor pay $130 for stealing the cat. If he took it to the shelter without the owner's permission that is exactly what he did: steal it.

sometimes the law doesnt see the real picture animal controls most of them eat bricks for breakfast.they really dont understand that sometimes actions speak louder that words.they could have made a pay arrangement or granson let my cat out and for three days we tracked her down she was frightened and kept running away.animal controls need to do whats best for the animal come on have a heart.i dont disagree with what this man did i happened to think if given the same posistion i would may have done that too, given that animals are put down in three days.the person that stole the cat needs to be up on charges big time.

Let the neighbor pay the fees and face charges of theft/kidnapping the
mans kitty...
Let the man have his kitty, his friend, Dude! he's dying ! leave him alone!
Was Kitty freaked? fighting going into the carrier?
Obviously wanted to go Home!
Time is short let them have it together.
