10 Commandments of Mother Earth

"There is something fundamentally wrong with treating the earth as if it were a business in liquidation."

Thank you Dave, sadly business will continue as usual which gives more validity to the Biblical quote "There are none so blind as those that will not see"

I read an article recently about the "New World Order" claiming that the money/power people want to reduce the population, by whatever means, to about 1/10th of what it is now.

Thanks for sharing this, Dave. Humanity is a blight to the earth. Until we are gone as a species it will not heal. There are far more greedy self-centered idiots than there are of us who conserve and care for the earth. JMO.

Great article, Dave! We should be very concerned, yet most people simply don't take this problem seriously. I don't know how many more warnings nature can give us --and she's given us plenty! Do you think it's the influence of those who profit from sucking from this planet every drop of oil, scraping off every bit of coal, using questionable methods to extract every bit of natural gas, and clearing every forest it can make a profit from? They DO try to convince us that there IS no problem. Or is it the average person's indifference that keeps them from taking steps to reuse, recycle and repurpose? I think it's going to take a major catastrophic event to get everyone's attention, and I hope it's not too late at that point.

Thank you for posting this wonderful article, Dave! I had written a heartfelt response, but it disappeared when I pushed the submit button. I've been having problems on this site for several days. I hope this message gets through.

Been changing little by little here - now to just convince my oldest to recycle; youngest already does...tho he could do more.

Fiscal policies and natural resources, we can't conserve anything to save our lives.

Care2 is not immune either! I just saw a featured sponsor ad on Click to Donate by BP!!!! Is the world coming to it's final dismal end today; &/or are we so disparate that committed environmental advocates are now accepting ad money from one (if not the most) of the largest, evilest, greediest polluting corporations of them all!! Am feeling betrayed, hopeless & SICK to the core. BP, for God's sake! Randy. what the (blank) are you thinking? Sell-outs & hypocrisy w/in our midst.... no wonder this site has been having tech failure lately! (I do realize that this is not really a scientific correlation) Sad times @ Care2!

I also want the human population reduced, massively, as my new world order is the old world order, in which humans did not have the means to kill my other friends.

We are locked into supporting an extractive relationship with the earth, impoverishing, starving, and executing all other life. We can choose to diminish our supportive participation there, find other ways; but we must have less of us.

Disparate means extremely varied - what you meant Carole, was desperate, for which voiceless I visit care2.

TY, Michael... Yes, I stand corrected to my true intent & meaning by your non-judgmental critique. I should have spell checked; but didn't in the heat of the moment. I could not believe or understand what I was witnessing, having literal visceral responses & feeling quite sick to my stomach. Still can't see the "why" of it; but I will defend the voiceless along w/ you as long as I have a breath in my body. Not quite sure what you mean by "we must have less of us"; but I see having BP as a "featured sponsor" akin to accepting a Trojan horse or having the fox in charge of the hen house. Anyone who has observed BP's business practices in the world can see that their priority is profit margin above everything else including human dignity, animal life or environmental impact. BP & Big Oil, in general, can only lead to total planet destruction if we keep on listening to their lies & burning fossil fuel. Desperate, indeed!

I don't think it's because we are so over populated the root of the problem is the ways we are living they are destructive, UN-natural and dysfunctional. Stop eating meat we are the only species that destroys the planet this way for food. Cars, heat, AC, fuel all of these things have to change so we can live in harmony with Mother Earth in a non destructive dirty way.

Living simply that others might simply live is not a bad idea...
