Very upsetting especially since testing on animals should be on the decrease and the manner in which these test animals are treated. Case and point 'The Boiled Monkey' with no action on the part of the feds.
Thanx Angel for the post.

I hate my country more all the time. There are so many other alternatives to not using animals, but these idiots don't seem to want to do it. They probably enjoy torturing animals. May they all rot in hell.

Amen Patti and Joycey. We are a very sick species with no respect for anyone. Speciesism seems to be on the rise, and I┤m truly, truly fed up.

Thanks for noting such an important and very sad happening. My heart is sick and I am still reeling from the Boiled Monkey outcome. I am outraged at such disgusting demoralization of a species of this planet we all call home. My heart aches for them all.

Don't these companies know about alternative methods of testing products that show better results? This is so ignorant and cruel of them!

No, no... NOooooooo, NO! Does anyone have time to create a petition, or is there one already?
From the site: "Currently, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) funds eight National Primate Research Centers with a total of about 26,000 animals."...

It is a sad and horrid thing-If they were really concerned(which we all know they are not) over our health then they would study Phages and then the experiments on any living thing would be harmless to them.-then they would be able to help those with AIDS ect.and use these Phages on them with no harmful side effects.Phages kill viruses and bacteria and are a natural thing- they have been used in Germany with great success for a long time now but are not in line with the pharmaceutical companies profit line-which means if they used them their funding would disappear and thousands of jobs would be lost.so it is in th economies best interest (so say the powerful)that they find another way. hence the experiments.to quote an old song-here we go round in circles

THEY NEED TO LEAVE THE ANIMALS ALONE IF THEY ARE GOING TO DO ANY THING AT ALL THEY NEED TO PUT MONEY IN TO HELP THEIR SURVIVAL NOT THEIR DESTRUCTION

Noted. Thanks Jocelyn for the send and thanks Angel for the post. The only real solution for this madness is to bring the U.S. government to its knees! Everyone here in the U.S. has to stop this insanity before it gets beyond our control. We have to hold Congress accountable now for blocking the impeachment of Bush and Cheney no matter what obstacles are in our way. What the heck are the American people waiting for? Since some Congress members are deliberately stalling this impeachment then they leave us no other choice than to assume they are just as guilty and the only action the American people can take is to revolt!!!!! This is the only way to save our world and the innocent animals who are tortured by humans for these insane research projects! Please write and call your Congressman or Congresswoman to show them that we will not stop until the criminals in office are kicked out and put behind bars! There will be no use for any petition if Bush and Cheney keep getting their way and we end up with another catastrophic war! Bush, Cheney and their administration blatantly lied to us and the world! We cannot help the animals until we help ourselves and the world as a whole and the only way to do that is to stop those who want to destroy our world by impeachment! Only then can we proceed to the other issues that need our time and effort. We will never have the chance to help the animals if those in power stay in power! We need to take them down now!
