Unnatural GE trees will easily contaminate native ecosystems spreading their genetically engineered genes into wild environments, leading to negative and irreparable consequences for the environment, other species and Earth as a whole. Global Petition.

Why oh why can't we just take care of what we have? Why do we have to destroy everything out of greed and haste, then try to rebuild it in a "new and improved" way, again, out of greed and haste? Think things through first, is this so hard to do? Please let's just learn to care properly for the planet with REAL trees and plants. We don't need to create things in a lab. We don't need "better". We need to BE better. We need to take care of ours.

Humans are a stupid lot. Cutting down the real trees and planting fake ones.

We have been using natural cross breeding methods to improve various plants for years. Why do we need GE engineered trees except for more Frankenprofits. Why aren't we using our own locally grown hemp from which we used to make 5,000+ products from high end paper to clothing? Hemp is alleged to remove 10xs the carbon a tree does. It uses less water than cotton including the eco cotton. Cotton is very hard on the environment. It doesn't require pesticides or fertilizers. Hemp fibreboard is stronger than the gypsum based wallboard and fibreboards we have today; especially the hazardous crap that we were sold from the PRC.
Hemp could stimulate local economies by providing jobs in actual farming to production to retail. It is a prolific crop and it has health properties also.
The only reason it was classified as a dangerous drug in the first place was to remove it as serious competition to the robber barons and corporatists who saw more profit in cutting down our forests. You can't get high off of hemp. You never could and you never will. What's next?
Why are we so hellbent on these GMO crops and now forests if not for more profit for the corporate idiots who have no vision?

Is nothing sacred? I think that I shall never see nature's beauty in a tree. . . . because GMO profits are more important.

Yet another unnerving development for profit. Perhaps decades from now we will wake up and there will be no natural trees or plant life left on the entire planet.

We have overused the word abomination until it has lost its meaning. But this truly is an abomination unto the Lord in the strictest sense.
