Harness Wind Power at Home

There are many solutions to our global problem. Wind power is one, cow power is another. There are cars which run on electric batteries only and alternatives are all around us. With many people becoming desperate with the cost of fuel rising to ridiculous rates, they are now even signing a petition to drill for Oil in America, ANYWHERE. WE need to implement all energy solutions as quickly as possible or we will see continued pollution and destruction world wide for the pursuit of oil.

Wind is still expensive. Solar heat pays for itself in five years! Solar electricity has seen more change in recent months than the last two decades, and has achieved parity in Hawaii with coal.

Lyra, you are right. Electric cars can run on any source of electricy, when other forms of power besides coal come online no more greenhouse emissions.

Al Gore has stated the most pressing problem facing the planet is saving the rain forests. Growth and development continue unabated. How many people suffer from 'printitis' - a medical condition that begins the moment the computer is connected to the printer and the user continues to hit the 'print' button?

There is good news. Care2 is leading the way vegetarian/flexitarian. We are showing people eating meat three times a day is equivalent of proudly supporting the illegal wars.
