From July 4th. The protest this Saturday will ask the Belfast city council to compromise on their decision and allow Lennox, who is now famous, to be re-homed to the United States.

People from all over the world are boycotting Northern Ireland because of BCC and the senior judge’s decisions on this historic breed specific legislation (BSL) case.

If the BCC allowed the re-homing of Lennox, it would show Northern Ireland has a compassionate side, and would increase tourism and bring a happy ending to this historic BSL case.

Drop dead, Belfast City Council, you cowardly individuals have no decency or compassion; to murder this poor dog who did nothing wrong. How would you like to be murdered just because you're from Northern Ireland? That's always on the cards.

as long as any being lives in fear and death at the hands of man so shall all men live under this same threat. the earth is our shared home and to do good should be our shared religion and under the truth of evolution all beings are our family.
you can tell a lot about a person or society by the way it treats the beings it doesn't think it has to treat well. silence is acceptance
life has value beyond measure
Peace and Love

Please add your voice now to help save Lennox. Send your polite, but firm e-mails to:

There have been almost 170,400 signatures on the petition to save Lennox. It would be impossible for the BCC to ignore that same number of e-mail pleas for mercy for Lennox now!

"There is some suggested wording given at the Facebook site "An E-mail to Save Lennox". Keep in mind that your own words can carry a lot of weight, however. Many times those in authority will cast aside "canned" letters, but will actually take original letters into serious consideration. A suggestion would be to write a combination of both your own words, along with the wording suggested at the website. This could be very effective and have a positive impact on the decision by the BCC.

Lennox has never lifted a paw in harm to anyone. His only crime has been the way he looks, and the tragic numbers from the seamstress' tape measure that doomed him as a dog "of type" under the Dangerous Dog Act; the United Kingdom's version of breed-specific legislation. Please do this one last thing to help save this precious life.

Hold on Lennox and do not give up. Advocates will step up now to be your voice, and do whatever is possible to save your life.

Nicola Save Lennox~~~

Please feel free to use the template below or send your own letter/email. Full details below Urgent appeal to every veterinary surgeon to take a stand and refuse to administer fatal injection Dear Sir/Madam,I am writing to you with regard to an injustice about to occur in Northern Ireland and to beg you to intervene. Please help to save a life by urging your members not to participate in the death of an innocent dog who has a chance to live. This is an urgent appeal to every veterinary surgeon to take a stand and refuse to administer the fatal injection to a blameless dog whose owners have not given permission for him to be killed and for whom there is refuge and funding offered overseas. The life in question belongs to Lennox, a Labrador-American Bulldog who was seized two years ago, by council officials as an alleged “pit bull type” and taken to secluded kennels where photographs have shown him locked up in a small windowless cell sleeping in sawdust and his own faeces. While incarcerated in kennels his family have been allowed no access or visitation rights. Video footage of his assessments and observations by the people carrying out these assessments raised concerns for his welfare, showing that he had injuries and the severe return of a stress-induced skin condition. The family were also informed that Lennox was receiving medication for stress and depression and the pictures show a bloated, sad dog alone – for over 2 years. Lennox was evaluated by a highly qualified and respected UK behaviorist Sarah Fisher as being of no danger to the public and there is a sworn affidavit by her saying this. She did also point out how inappropriately he was being handled by the Belfast City Council dog warden. In spite of this, Lennox is seen to be co-operative and affectionate toward the dog warden assigned to him despite the cruel physical treatment and despite that all he has known and loved, his family and home environment, have been taken from him.Victoria Stilwell has made a concrete offer to take Lennox out of North Ireland and there is refuge and funding offered to the courts to let Lennox leave the country to the sanctuary offered by Victoria. In addition, there are many petitions asking for Lennox to be released with over 170,000 signatures on the largest petition for him. There are videos and pictures widely viewed and shared on social networking sites, resulting in international outrage and support to save this much loved dog’s life. The world is alight for Lennox. Lennox lived peacefully for five years at home with his family that included his owner Caroline Barnes, a former veterinary assistant and with a 3yr old boxer Juicy and an older Yorkie George and most importantly an 11 year old child to whom he was a best friend.Experienced behaviourist David Ryan also assessed Lennox and said he should return home and only needed some training so he was less nervous but that he was a good dog.Lennox and his family have been through hell for 26 months. His then 11 year old owner has waited for two years for her dog. Now this loved and gentle dog is sentenced to die sentenced to die under failed draconian breed specific legislation. - The owners have not given their permission for their dog to be killed and there are 170,000 people worldwide who are supporting them and begging for mercy for Lennox - The NI government is currently being urged to intervene and show mercy by allowing Lennox to be exported out of North Ireland; however that process will take time. More time is needed to find a route by which to legally export Lennox out of NI and to safety. - There is a sanctuary and funding available offered in concrete terms by Victoria Stilwell who is a world renowned behaviourist I understand that you may be requested to administer the fatal injection that will kill Lennox and we beg of you to allow Lennox the chance of a few years of a decent life again by refusing to destroy a healthy dog that has already paid a price for the size of his head being larger than standard (one of the measurements used to classify him as "type"). I know that this oath is sworn by vets, as they join the profession: I PROMISE above all that I will pursue the work of my profession with uprightness of conduct and that my constant endeavour will be to ensure the welfare of the animals committed to my care. As you know this means that, in any apparent conflict of interest, in situations involving animals, the vet should decide in favour of the animal. I am sure, as a veterinary professional that you are aware of how emotionally committed good owners are to their pets. Dogs are part of our families as much as children. This dog has captured the hearts and emotions naturally of his own family including the disabled child depending on him but also of 170,000 people in over 23 countries who are crying out to save Lennox. Please refuse to administer the lethal injection and contact his family and tell him about his condition. Please help to save Lennox and allow a blameless animal the chance of a few years of a decent life. We claim to be a nation of animal lovers, surely now it is time to prove it? Yours faithfully ---------------------
