At no point in time, prior to being incarcerated, was Lennox declared dangerous. To that end, he was never even declared a nuisance.

Lennox's family, with the support of thousands from across the world, has fought a long, emotional battle to spare Lennox from being destroyed. On Monday, the Barnes family issued a statement acknowledging that their legal options had run out.

The family's final hope was that the court may allow Lennox to leave Northern Ireland and find a new home in the United States. Now it seems that even that option has been denied.

I'm also wondering if he is already dead, or why would they deny the request!

Those responsible for taking and keeping Lennox away from his family have not been transparent in any of their actions. The injustices continue to mount, and I have to wonder about Lennox's health, if he is indeed still alive, as some are now doubting. This is very sad and I hope those responsible for his fate in N. Ireland will be made to deeply regret how they took an innocent animal from a loving family. This cruel act will not be forgotten. Hoping for a miracle...

This is just sick and demented. To judge by appearance is complete ignorance. I hope they don't judge people like that because they would have a lot of executions. Just really upsets me and it is just insane. Lennox nor the family deserve this

Noted! This is just beyond human comprehension, What the hell should any of this BS matter to anyone in the court system when so many people were willing to take him in and retrain him. And then they coupe this poor animal up for 2 + tears and expect him to be a happy camper, No different than us being thrown into the slammer for just being us! If this dog is put down I will certainly be praying that horrible harm come upon all the idiots that are so hell bent of seeing this poor baby's demise take place.

Just wondering (and since I live here I can ask this) has anybody thought about a jail break?
I mean really, IF you get caught,, what is the worse that would happen?

There is a rumor going around that Lennox has already been murdered; I've been hoping and praying it isn't true.
We love you Lennox.

noted with great sadness. After reading the post it makes sense now as to why they would not let the owners visit one last time or let Lennox come to the US at no cost to Belfast. Those bastards were probably trying to cover up what had happened to this poor animal who did nothing...nothing wrong!! As for those who kept him in captivity all this while....may God have mercy on you. If this is indeed true that he is gone...at least he is at peace and out of that 2x4 cell in which he spent two miserable years just existing...not even living. Shame on Belfast and everyone should voice their outrage over this sad happening.

This doesn't make sense. If there is an organization somewhere outside of Ireland that's willing to take Lennox and re-home him why is anyone standing in his way?

Does anyone feel that it would do any good to demand to Belfast that we know the truth?

Un-freaking-believable! Poor dear Lennox, I am praying to everything and everyone for your safe deliverance from your oppressors! I can't stop crying over this precious doggie, don't kill him, please! (Note: Don't get the Republic of Ireland (Eire) confused with Northern Ireland (Ulster) they aren't the same place - Northern Ireland is where this travesty is taking place, Belfast, Northern Ireland, which is under British rule) Noted with disgust, thanks.

I would like to know if anyone has seen Lennox since he has been locked up or if he is still alive, This is so unbelievable and so sad with so many people fighting for him and they still can't do the right thing for this dog, Something does smell rotten in Ireland.

I didn't publish this story because there are conflicting publications floating around. According to what I've read, no-one has been denied the ability to re-home Lennox, but requests have been ignored.

If the dog is still alive and moving him is still in negotiation, then people need to continue to rally in support of this AND NOT GIVE UP.

There is no verification as of yet that they have DENIED re-homing him. Easy does it.

DOES ANYONE HERE HEAR THE FAT LADY SINGING?..........I SURE DON"T!!! SO LETS KEEP PRAYING WITH FAITH, THAT THIS DOG WILL COME TO USA!!! DON"T GIVE UP WHATEVER YOU DO. DO NOT FORGET THAT GOD IS ALIVE AND WELL AND MIRACLES ARE STILL IN OPERATION TODAY!!! WE "MUST" ALL STAND IN THAT FAITH AND NOT COWER!!!
