The emotional scars Belfast City Council (BCC) have created in regards to Lennox the dog case, are more vicious and damaging than any dog attack from any breed could afflict on humans.

BCC silence and disregard to any and all of the request from Lennox’s family and the public’s pleas for the return of Lennox’s ashes and collar, are only adding deeper scars to the wounds that are trying to heal.

In a correspondence with the family of Lennox they had this to say, “We have locked ourselves away recently and the pain and depression just gets worse; yet almost a month on we still have no ashes nor has there been any contact from them or to our own requests to meet with one of the council for answers, and no doubt you will have heard that BCC now refuse to return Lennox's collar for a keepsake.”

I will see you on the other side.

I was not aware that the disgusting BCC hadn't yet returned Lennox's ashes to his family. It upset me, but for some reason, reading that they even refuse to return his collar made me cry a lot. What do these people have inside instead of a heart?
Thank you Dianne for haring thses news. .

BCC are cruel, unfeeling bullies who need to be punished for the murder of Lennox, how dare they act in this way. I hope their day of retribution comes very soon and they suffer for what they did to this beautiful dog and his family.

BCC are just showing off because they were in the wrong. These people never forget a grudge, and they have one against this family. I won't forget Lennox, and I will keep shoving it down their rotten throats every chance I get. The authorities of Belfast haven't vhanged much in thirty years, they are exactly the same sort of people who looked the other way when horses were blown up in Hyde Park. I haven't forgetten that either!

BCC killed this family and all of us deep inside. When are people out there going to understand, animals are a big part of peoples lives. A titanic part of the family.

I really feel for this family. And I still believe there is a lot more to this story than BCC wants us to know. I really believe that we will only learn the real truth, when someone within BCC finally has a conscious moment and steps forward to reveal all.

So true. I told Lennox's story to several people who were thinking of vacationing in Ireland and so far, they all decided against vacationing there. I will forever connect Lennox with the city of Belfast.

The BCC got away with murder, they don't give a damn about the life of the innocent dog they took, his family, or the weight of public opinion. I doubt whether anyone will hear from them. RIP Lennox, you will be remembered. The fight goes on.

BSL should never be accepted. Civilized society should be appropriately punishing those who turn animals into weapons.

There are no words to describe how we feel about the BCC - they have ignored hundreds of thousands of pleas to spare the life of Lennox - such a beautiful dog. My sister has been writing and signing for months to get Lennox freed - but her requests - like all the others fell on deaf ears. They probably put Lennox down some time before it was revealed he was deceased. The BCC did this BECAUSE THEY HAVE THE POWER! Now it is up to the people of Belfast to ensure that these cruel misfits are never voted into power again. Thanks Dianne.

Noted - I cannot even begin to tell you the hatred I have for these people - every day I pray that they are persecuted in a mighty way, that their end does not come quick, but rather with immense pain and suffering, where they will cry out for mercy and none will be shown, for what mercy did they show this precious animal.

I think that Lennox was killed a long time ago, but these monsters at the Belfast City Council (BCC) did not know what to do, because they did not expect that so many people from around the globe would care about one dog's life!

If you happen not to know what cruelty is, just have a look at Lennox's doom. What BCC has done to it is he worst example you could find.

BCC seems to be a law unto themselves???? They need an independant source to look into WHY they did what they did to Lernnox and why they are treating the family in such a dismissive and shameful way. What possible use or purpose could a dead dogs collar be to a city council????Let alone his ashes this is truly SHAMEFUL if Lennox had been a child and the family were being treated this bad all hell would break lose. What right do they have to keep such precious belongings from this family NONE i would say!!! Lets find out the truth here and maybe just maybe get some sort of closure for this poor family.
