Phoenix suffered burns over 30 percent of his body.

According to wivb.com, Brown faces up to two years in prison, but may avoid all prison time since he has been cooperating with law enforcement against Ziegler.

Humane supporters and animal lovers want stricter animal cruelty punishments to discourage this egregious type of crime.
