When Miracle was initially discovered, he was so cold that he could not move. Adding insult to injury, he has tested positive for parvo.

Miracle is under the care of veterinarians at the Animal Hospital in Henderson. As individuals learn of his sad story, they are rallying to help in any way that they can.

Donations are being collected by the humane society via a Chip-In account (click here), as well as directly at the veterinary clinic, whose phone number is 270-826-5060.

This is disgusting. Does animal control even know who this puppy belongs to? If they do, they should be charged with cruelty and neglect ! Period. Signed petition. I hope this pup survives, and is placed in a fabulous loving home.

Update 1/3/13: The veterinary clinic has just announced that Miracle did not survive.

Animal control officials made a pitiful discovery in Henderson, Ky. on Wednesday.

A puppy was found beneath a trailer in 19 degree weather. In fact, it was so cold that the abandoned pup's mouth was frozen closed and his body was partially frozen to the ground.

The puppy has been taken in by the Humane Society of Henderson County and they have dubbed him "Miracle," because, as they have stated, it will take a miracle for him to survive.

When Miracle was initially discovered, he was so cold that he could not move. Adding insult to injury, he has tested positive for parvo.

Miracle is under the care of veterinarians at the Animal Hospital in Henderson. As individuals learn of his sad story, they are rallying to help in any way that they can.

FROM HIS FB PAGE.....

Miracle Update. We just received a phone call from the vet. Miracle has passed away. Now our focus needs to be on preventing this from happening again in Henderson County! We are going to leave the chip-in up for another day, for those who wish to donate in honor of Miracle's passing. Or, you can help your local animal shelter's by donating directly to them as well! We would like to extend a thank you to Dr. Stallings at the Animal Hospital for working so hard to save this little guy!

Here in the northern countries where we have -40 C and more belov, there are cats and dogs frozen into groud alive when people have abandobed them, it's so sad. I had 12 twelve cats and half of them were animal rescue cats.

I have a solution for this. Execute them- psychopaths abuse animals today and kill people tomorrow! We need REAL tough animal abuse laws and enforce them- cause 4 times out of 5 the next time you hear about an animal abuser they killed /maimed/ raped a person. Ask your lawmakers for tougher penalties for animal abuse.

SOURCE OF FOLLOWING INFO...

A puppy left to die in freezing temperatures outside a Henderson residence has died.

The Humane Society of Henderson County says it was alerted by neighbors who found the dog under a trailer home Thursday, its mouth frozen shut and its body partially stuck to the ground. Suffering from hypothermia, it was unable to move after being picked up in a blanket and taken to The Animal Hospital in Henderson.

Temperatures had dipped below 20 degrees. It's not known how long the dog had been left without shelter.

The pup, named Miracle, made it through the night after coming indoors and being given sub-q fluids but died Thursday morning.

He had also tested positive for Parvo, a potentially life-threatening illness, and is in isolation.

Donations for what is expected to be a large vet bill are being accepted at the Humane Society (203 Drury Lane, Henderson). You can also donate online through Chipin.com. As of Thursday morning, 228 people had contributed more than $3,800 for the dog's care.
