This is great news - I was so glad when I got the causes update!
I have to admit that once news came out about Davids previous dog Sara I lost alot of respect for him~ and hope for Charlie...but this is the best outcome I think for Charlie.
Thankfully it didn't drag on as long as many due..
Hope this pup lives a long and happy life !
Thanks for sharing Diane

This is a very lucky dog. After biting a police horse and causing the officer to fall and get knocked out.

I wish he was going home but then again the owner didn't have him on a lease when he bit the horse.

from the article......
Gizzarelli declined immediately to elaborate what exactly will happen with Charlie, who has been in San Francisco's animal care facility since he bit a federal horse in Crissy Field on July 6.

San Francisco Animal Care and Control said late Friday Charlie will be placed in a sanctuary rescue home.

The city of San Francisco had sought to put Charlie down, while Gizzarelli and his attorney, John Mounier of Mill Valley, had struggled in state - and federal - court to keep Charlie alive.

Just before 2 p.m. on Friday, San Francisco City Attorney spokesman Matt Dorsey said that he couldn't comment on the federally mediated settlement by U.S. District Magistrate Nathanael Cousins because the agreement hadn't formally been signed. He said more would be made public later.
