It makes me) absolutely sick to my stomach, as it does everybody working on this case," she said. "That a human being could take an innocent animal and do this to it."

Authorities and the Mississippi Animal Rescue League feel the dogs cannot be rehabilitated and are waiting for a court order to euthanize them.

I have to agree that this makes me sick to my stomach. These animals had no choice in what happened to them and they pay the ultimate price. The people responsible for doing these dog fights and training(not what I would call it) should face long prison terms! I would love to see them undergo even a small portion of the torture they put these animals through!!

From the article.....

Hinds County Sheriff's Department described the 25 seized dogs as extremely dangerous and aggressive.

According to the clarion, Hinds County Sheriff's Department spokesperson, Othor Cain stated the dog fighting training was more "advanced" than the one by Michael Vick. Authorities said the dogs were tied to heavy chains with treadmills, jaw shanks, and steroids as part of their training regimen. The animals were being trained similar to police dogs, however these dogs were being trained to fight and kill. Police suspect the dogs were being sold throughout the Southeast.

Why do they always have to pay with their lives because of these murderous scums, the poor dogs.

Its very sad but the dogs cannot be rehabilitated if they have be trained to kill, also the stopping of the training is hurting them as they think its the way that people love them.

You cannot currently send a star to Simone because you have done so within the last week.

Ginger,, Best Friends stepped up to the plate to save the vick dogs. Nobody is stepping up for these. It would take a large org. with resources to save all these dogs. I know you are on facebook and see how many beautiful loving dogs are being murdered everyday :( Even when we pledge donations to save them,,, the rescues all are full. So many issues here. New laws to make the criminals pay for rehabilitation, Stopping all these breeders who are creating this problem. Becoming a No Kill Nation. I"m stand by mandatory Spaying & neutering laws. I am willing to pay higher taxes for a No Kill Nation. But we MUST stop the breeders who profit and see nothing wrong with what they are doing

Ginger this case is much much worse than the Vick case. These dogs were bred for generations to fight, and were put through training every day of their lives, they know nothing else..they are too far gone. They cannot go into any home that has any other animal, child, baby,an elderly person could not handle them. They do not want to put these dogs down, but feel it is the most humane thing to do with them.
This entire story on this mad man has not all come out in public yet,it is horrific.
