According to the PA SPCA, two of the dogs were humanely euthanized due to their poor conditions, and nine of the dogs tested positive for heart worms. One dog has since been adopted, and the other dogs have been transferred to other rescues or are now in foster care.

Horrible! There is no excuse for a "rescue" to operate under such substandard conditions. BUT let's take a look at the cause--breeders and individuals who permit their dogs to breed. Because so many are born (and because so many must be killed in shelters), some people feel they are rescuers, even though they are incompetent or worse. There are so many "rescues" that there are too many to police.

Stop the deliberate, and careless, breeders and the need for "rescues" will decline.

How sad and infuriating. I am so sick of reading these horror stories of animal abuse. Something's got to give where the 'ownership' of animals is concerned. Licensing. Laws. Jail time/fines for abusers.

Thanks Dianne :")

How can people be so cruel to the innocent. So glad she was caught. Now to hear her side of the story. She needs to be fined so these animals are taken care of.

It's bad enough when people in the general public abuse animals but for a "RESCUE" person to abuse? REALLY?? Are you kidding me? THIS should be treated even MORE severely; given the position she holds in the community!! How dare she even call herself a "rescue"...she needs imprisoned and made to feel as the animals she abused must have felt!

i hope this p.o.s. rots in hell for all he made those babies go through, if you can care for the dogs don't have them easy as that, but is not fair to have the dogs live on those conditions.

This woman is a heartlessPOS. Lock her away. Seize all of her assets to pay for the surviving dogs care.

Strengthen the animal cruelty laws and make sure this person is prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. This is disgusting and despicable.

How disgusting, the worker needs to be punish severely. Some long jail time is a start. Someone that knows better hurting all these dogs. I know abuse laws are not as severe as they should be, I think make an example out of this person over and above the current laws.
PA need to change the abuse laws in their state to be more severe.
This whole thing is unthinkable, these poor animals. My heart goes out to them.

Those poor dogs, what they went through at the hands of this human?? that was supposed to help them. She needs to be punished to the max for what she did to these innocent victims. The laws need to get tougher on these abuser that take advantage of the ones that can't speak up. Thank goodness there are many of us that will keep fighting and speaking up for the ones that can't.
