Mark and Cindy Boling whose dog Lily was killed last year by a Fort Worth Police Officer, have been hard at work campaigning to find a Senator to endorse and file the Bill 1358. This bill would require all Police Officers to take a mandatory 8-hour class

By their heavy handedness of killing pets, and people for that matter, it shows their FEAR! Cowards are bullies, and the police need to get a grip and learn how to be wise warriors, doing no harm.

Police deal with the public dogs are part of the public and peoples family. Losing a pet is like losing a family member to lots of us. If they can not successfully train and carry out what they have learned for all the public humans and animals then they have no business on the street with as much power as they have. I've never met a nice person who hates animals, if the officers can kill pets with no mercy to me that is concerning all life is sacredm

Good to hear. If a dog is just barking at the cop- I don't even understand why they think shooting the dog is a reasonable course of action. For pete's sake, the cops have tasers, batons, probably pepper spray or mace on their belts- why the heck do they have to shoot? And all the cops getting sent to the wrong houses in the first place- let's fix that too, huh?!

They need to pass this bill in every state to stop this horrific and needless killing of people's pets!
Thanks Dianne for this post.
