Did you know whiskers have their own blood supply in addition to hundreds of nerves cells? This is one supercharged follicle.

A long-time cat lover and admirer, I can't believe how much I've missed about their many abilities and resources. All the more reason to pay even closer attention to these beautiful, gifted creatures!

Delightful information. One of the cats that owned me became blind in her senior years and navigated quite well with the aid of her whiskers. She had the home mapped out and did not bump into things and her whiskers certainly were helpful to her.

Thanks Zora :")
I wonder if the kittens whiskers get chewed off by their Moms has anything to do with feeding? Like each kitten's whiskers touching one another may cause them to bite or something leading to discomfort for Mom cat...hmm something to think about. lol

Thanks Zora, I'll keep watching the whiskers. Once one fell out and I noticed how strong it was made.
