An Israeli TV company has launched a channel just for dogs. Programmes on Dog TV are developed by trainers to comfort canines left home alone, with special colours dogs can see, and soothing music.

For years now...anytime that I have left the house, I always put on PBS, cartoons, or the music channel on for my dog, and cats. I don't know if they sit and watch TV, but I think that the voices and music helps them. Even a radio helps. IMHO. Thank you, David for this.

Yes i used to leave the TV on for my cats I knew they watched it because if they had a show on with birds they would get right up close and watch the screen like a hawk WSPA do a lot of good work in Israel now with donkeys they have a sanctuary for them now and they have a worker who gives free advice on caring and medical treatment so guess its a start and is helping

noted thanks

Cool indeed! As long as they make sure the pets won't get to see the wrong stuff, like in the Iranian film "Parde" (Closed curtain) that was recently introduced at the Berlin Film Festival. The adorably dog "Boy" (Oscar ready!) was watching how his fellow canines were chased in the streets of Iran (considers dogs as unclean, posession was forbidden), caught, caged and slaughtered.
Thx David!
