A great white shark will be cut open live on video in an effort to shed light on the diet of the deadly predator in what is believed to be the first dissection of its kind. In a broadcast reminiscent of a scene in Jaws, where Richard Dreyfuss cuts open a

It was a pity that this shark was "accidently" had become entangled in a gill net and not could be saved.
Remember: when we humans are swimming or diving into the ocean, we are in their territory and it is wellknown that most of the sharks are very curious and taste with their mouth. Unfortunately for us humans, they have sharp teeth and of course they caused big injuries when they are "tasting" us, but we humans are not on their diet.
I saw this once on television and they found no human remains at all.
All the ugly stories about these magnificent animals are all lies and superstiousness!
Thanks Jacqueline

What an absolutely disgusting thing to do on live video. Don't we already know what Sharks eat? Too bad for this unfortunate beauty to get caught in a gill net. How terribly sad for her and the rest of us who care. Please don't watch this video if we can't stop it. We are surrounded by sick people.

"Accidentally", my ...!!! Measures need to be taken to prevent such "accidents" from happening, sharks are direly endangered!! And I'd love to personally dissect anyone who kills sharks - & I'd do it while they're alive & without anesthesia!!! :( Poor shark, they should at least let her rest in peace. :(

So much that is needed in this world to help animals and humans alike (poverty, hunger, abuse, etc) and they are wasting their time and ours by doing such a disgusting and cruel act on a beautiful animal. We pretty much have an idea of what sharks eat and honestly, it's not the priority in life. Just doesn't make sense! Seriously, this is sad.

Noted with sadness for the precious Great White Shark and absolute disgust to all those responsible for this inhumanity. This is Cruelty in the 'so called' name of science. Shame on them all!

Good news: here at http://www.aucklandmuseum.com/Default.asp?t=913
you can see that they say the shark is already dead. They are not dissecting a live shark like I originally thought.....whew!
