Briefcam is one of 9 companies revamping security at the Statue in NY Harbor. Video tech that allows viewers to quickly parse through hours of footage in seconds, swiftly zeroing in on the important incidents was tapped to handle surveillance duties.

Wish they'd use such technology to protect villages from night attacks ... provide security by recording all aggressions & non-interventions by security forces ....

The cameras would be great for the subway platforms.

Was not “Total Recall” an Arnold Schwarzenegger movie?!!!

Receiving a brief summary of video footage seems time-freeing. As an end result, after the completion of installing all the cameras at the Statue of Liberty, I wonder if this technology will end up replacing a couple of Park Police employees. And, if it is successful there, will this technology be used at all Historical National Park Monuments? And, how many National Park employees will be laid off as a result of the brilliant technology.

Gosh, the United States needs all its jobs. It cannot even afford to lose one job, because there are several hundred citizens willing to fill the position, and in some cases, even if it is low-paying.

Despite the large number of free-loaders we have nowadays in our nation, there are still some very self-respecting citizens maintaining their dignity by earning a living in low-paying positions, because that was once the true American Way!!!

Thank you.

It is vital to get all the positive information ....... the truth published.

If only the media were not controlled!

Israel leads the way yet again. Do they pay their scientists better than other countries? There has to be a reason why they have so many technology breakthroughs, especially in the area of medicine.

Hi Evelyn :)

I've been sitting on video-analysis software that picks out objects this for over five years and that's exactly my intention with it. (It's on my laptop and my email account after I sent it to myself.) When my current projects are finished, if nobody else has used it to make people safer from attacks like that, I hope to make it happen.
