"Three members were detained for questioning following the arrest of another ringleader in March, who remains in jail, the public prosecutor’s office said, while issuing an appeal to the public for more information to help permanently disband the group.

The gang, which calls itself the Jamahat, forced other young people to become Muslims as part of its operations, said officials.

The group peddled pot to adolescents from disadvantaged families in the cities of Le Locle and La Chaux-de-Fonds, traditional watch-making centres, the prosecutor’s office said in a statement.

The group is made up of young Muslim men originally from such places as Chechnya, Afghanistan and Yugoslavia who recently stepped up their criminal activities, authorities said.

The group “is attempting to radicalize its activities by seeking to impose — by physical and psychological violence — a monopoly on the sale of marijuana in our region.”

Using menacing threats, the group’s members forced other young people to sign up for cell phone contracts and then seizing smart phones and other electronic gadgets obtained in the process.

These devices were then sold on the black market, largely in La Chaux-de-Fonds, authorities said.

Meanwhile, a large number of young people have run up large debts from phone bills running into the thousands of francs, according to the government information.

Some kids were forced to sign up for as many as seven different telecom contracts.

On top of this, victims were made to convert to Islam, often without knowing anything about the religion and in “blind submission” to the wishes of the Jamahat group, authorities said.

As part of the ongoing investigation, cantonal police are now seeking help from the public about the whereabouts of an underground parking lot, probably in La Chaux-de-Fonds, or the nearby region.

The facility is served by an elevator providing access to a basement with heating and different rooms with easy access for vehicles."

What next? And these cretins will be allowed to stay - just watch. Muslims and Muslim ruled countries will rise up and scream 'Islamophobia' and 'racism' if and when these lowlifes are brought to trial, just like they always do when Muslims finally get caught for their crimes in Europe. Sigh.

I hope these poor kids will get some good counselling and help them to deal with this trauma and help them get out of Islam safely since it is the death penalty to leave this religion of peace and tolerance.

Did the Prophet not object to hallucinogenic substances? What mind-boggling hypocrisy.

Nothing new there, of course!

Pam, Mohammed only mentioned alcohol but often this is inferred to smoking and other kinds of drugs, though marijuana use and chewing of khat (a mild narcotic plant) is quite common in Muslim areas (as is under the table alcohol use - remember the last Saudi 'King', that great protector of Orthodox Islam, died of alcohol related liver disease)

Didn't the world learn a thing from America's 14 years of alcohol prohibition?

Evil is as evil does. I do not care what name it goes by. I join with others here in hoping these people will be brought to Justice.

Freedom from religion! PLEASE!

Oh Lord.

If it weren't for the insatiable need of oil, these "people" would have gotten kicked out on the arses a long time ago.

Well, first, alcohol and drugs are supposedly an anathema to Muslims. Which doesn't stop the warlords of Afghanistan in any way from selling their poppy crops - as long as they sell only to infidels I guess they have an exemption. This sounds like just another perversion of the religion by common criminals. They should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law for their criminal activities but I don't see pot as a crime to begin with, only criminals doing their normal thing, better than a real job I suppose, but these are hardly the shining stars of the religion and from the sound of it, don't know much about it either. Maybe they get some kind of bonus for converts? And just exactly how do you by force make anyone a convert of anything. A convert believes. If made to say one is Muslim, that hardly constitutes an adoption of the religion, imo. Just more sleazy mobsters from eastern Europe.

Drugs and religion go hand in hand. The schizophrenic visions of saints and prophets would today at least in the educated world, be considered nothing more than mental illness whereas in the past they spawned numerous cults and religions. Vivid hallucinations very similar to the schizophrenic ones can stem from use of drugs including the so-called natural ones of marijuana and some mushrooms. Shamans and sooth-Sayers today and in the past use hallucinogenic drugs. The ancient Oracles of Greece gave their messages whilst high on petroleum fumes and a bit of H2S. For every convincing bunch of con-artists are the stupid and desperate waiting for a “fix” for their shitty little lives.
