"I have nothing other than just sadness, once again, that we have to peer into the abyss of the depraved violence that we do to each other in the nexus of a just gaping racial wound that will not heal - yet we pretend doesn't exist."

The description has vanished ...
It read:
"I have nothing other than just sadness, once again, that we have to peer into the abyss of the depraved violence that we do to each other in the nexus of a just gaping racial wound that will not heal - yet we pretend doesn't exist."

What I find staggering is the judge
‘What the Hell?': Don Lemon Rips Judge for Calling Roof’s Family ‘Victims’
"Before the families spoke, Judge James Gosnell said, “We also have victims on the other side. There are victims on this young man’s side of the family.”"

The Charleston victims’ families confronted Dylann Storm Roof and said they forgive him

The family - who gave him the gun; raised him to think in this way.

Yes, AniMae - I've noticed that at times some comments aren't registering when two come in at almost the same time! (Happens immediately - too fast for it to be deletion) It's not yet quite so often that one develops the reflex of copying before submitting .... but enough that I kick myself for not having done so!! Infuriating!!

Thanks Evelyn for this clip - a totally different Jon Stewart.

Imagine for a second if the shooter would have been a Muslim ... and notice how conspicuously the religion of this multiple killer doesn't seem to be a factor who deserves any mention whatsoever simply because it's not the "right" religion ... couldn't help but had to point to this blatant hypocrisy.

He did just touch on that (because it would have been linked by media to "foreign affairs").

He hit the nail on the head.

He spoke the way many of us feel but don't have a microphone. Is more than over due for placing everything out there CLEARLY. And Bernie Sanders is laying a clear message out on another matter, inequality of the have's to the have nots; which the latter also happens to be many African Americans, but not solely restricted to them.

Corporate Media has whitewashed the news and hid in the shadows the information that should of been aired over the years. That it's the comedians that have to expose to the world the actual truths is telling that what I just said is fact.

Will share and I've previously signed all petitions listed.

Sometimes the message doesn't need humor to be taken in, sometimes there's nothing funny about a message, no joke that could soften it and nothing that should take away from the stark reality. Thank you, Jon Stewart, for letting reality speak for itself.

Noted. Thanks for posting, Evelyn....and Dandelion for the link. Also signed all petitions.
BTW, the rest of this particular show was an interview with Malala Yousafzai, the Nobel Prize winner. Well worth viewing if you have time.
