While the real canines were cavorting across town at the annual Westminster Kennel Club show, a group of dog paintings, statues, fancy collars and other items fetched a total of $700,000 at an auction house.

Too bad the artists can't get paid more while they're alive. It always seems to be the art dealers that benefit from all the work that went into a painting. I paint, but earning a good income from it is another story. Maybe I should just paint dogs and cats.

I don't suppose they're going to bother donating any of that to a shelter.
And that is why the rich are rich and the rest of us are peons.
