The state Assembly has struck a blow for the state's stoners by voting to repeal the Rockefeller drug laws that have threatened so many tokers with the wrong kind of joint. Drug policy will be based on the premise that drug addiction is a health problem.

It will be difficult to deprogram people from the years of propaganda that has led many to honestly believe that pot is evil. Just as it designed to do, therefore it makes a great political foil. I doubt many southerner states, deeply entrenched with these false beliefs will move to decriminalize pot any time soon.

"This new drug policy will be founded on the premise that drug addiction is a public health crisis and that drug treatment works," said Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver during a press conference on Wednesday, reported the New York Daily News.

Let me get this straight. I take up doing something illegal and then we just call it an addition so I can't be blamed from my wrong choices. Ah, the "not responsible for my own actions" attitude that is purveying this country.

CALIFORNIA AND OREGON BOTH ARE PRESENTLY IN CONSIDERATIONS OF LEGALIZING AND TAXING POT. THERE IS ACTUALLY A TOWN IN CALIF, THAT LEGALLY GROWS POT. NO ONE GETS BUSTED FOR GROWING IT, AND ALOT OF THE FARMERS IN CALIF, PAST FAMLY GENERATIONS FARMED THE PLANT ALSO. I THINK, NOT SURE, ITS MONDECINO CALIF THAT IS WHERE THE POT PLANT IS ACTIVE AND CULTIVATED LIKE ANY OTHER FARMING CROPS??? NOT SURE. WILL HAVE TO LOOK THAT TOWN UP NOW AND BE SURE OF THE SPELLING OF IT?

Edward H. (above) is saying that we should lock up people for their actions. He wants other people to live as he does. Perhaps he wants even more people to be behind bars. Maybe we should lock up those who consume too much sugar, fast food or smoke cigarettes. Those are also bad actions. Edward apparently wants you to have no choices and he will be our model. I will follow him.

What is Stephen Harper's take on this...will Arnold SWarz....legalize POT?
Hardly, this is posturing until they come and get you...Don't worry they have plenty of room in the new prisons/concentration camps[with ovens] for this and other crimes like possession of organic vitamin supplements, organic produce,Neem based products or anything that is GOOD for us...
Check out Codex Alimentarius which goes in effect in less than nine months.
Edward didn't they ban alcohol once and then repealled the ban and then we have a social problem that you don't feel applies to pot addicts[no such animal]who are not responsible for their own actions...Do you Drink?and should you go to jail for it?Hardly.
Wake up...Help Save Our Earth Now...Get Conscious...Use Hemp!!!

I wish this would take place in all states. We're not just pot heads. People like me who are battling Lupus could greatly benefit from this natural herb, it's called medicinal medicine!!!!!
