Africa is a basket case of genocide. And the world sits back! uuggh... Always too little, too late. Am I my brother's keeper? Damn right you are! Stop the apathy and stop the deaths. How? Speak up - speak out. And whenever possible, practical help. I had a Malawian sanctuary here in my backyard when the 'black' South Africans went on a rampage against the 'black' foreigners living in this country and who was 'stealing' their jobs. What rubbish! Any excuse will do when hate needs formentation and publicity. Partners in dark crime and death. Reminds me of that wonderful book: 'Hold my hand, I'm dying'. The story about Rhodesia, now called Zimbabwe. And yes, that country truly died - and again the west sat back and did nothing. If t here is nothing to gain (no votes, no wealth) then we don't act. Rhetoric does not cut it. We have lost our souls. Studying history is a hobby of mine - and from everything I've read - we repeat the atrocities over and over again. We learn nothing. Why? Is it because we put people into power - people whose ethics are unkinown, or questionable? Is it because we consider ourselves different? Different skin colour, different religious beliefs? I saw a wonderful comment on someone's profile: 'God is too big to belong to one religion'.

Sorry, I'm rambling, it is late (way past my bedtime), but genocide is happening the world over - and we are too busy with our lives to speak out or to act. Until it is our turn!
