Stand up for California's homecare workers by emailing legislators and Gov. Schwarzenegger. Homecare workers provide critical services to the elderly and disabled in this state. Home care workers work long and hard taking care of our most fragile citizens

California is facing a massive financial crisis, so it should be no surprise then rather than fix a very messed up tax structure they cut very needed benefits. More cuts will be coming, and they are always directed at the least powerful, those can not fight back.

Kit, you are so correct. It's always the poor to get poorer. How about they raise some taxes on all the millionaires out there? They can afford it.

Thank you for this very important post. I took care of someone for five years never getting paid because they didn't have any money and i couldn't turn my back on somebody that was very ill. i tried to get services for myself during that time but there wasn't anything available. I end up sharing what little I had to help feed and care for this person because everyone is a human being and deserves respect!!

Thanks, Tom - signed.

It's interesting that the jobs that are the most important are usually those the least respected & compensated.
