Watson's police and court records are being evaluated before he's allowed to enter Australia to start his annual campaign. Watson claims politics are behind all of this, saying, "I'm not wanted on any warrants and I've never received a felony conviction."

The Australian Government is suppose to be trying to stop whaling and yet they seem to more supportive of Japan than they are of Sea Shepard, how does that make any sense, its beyond me.

Thanks for the news.

I hope that whaling would just stop. Oil can be taken from nature and not nature's children. So why harm the whales?

This article states: "The Australian Federal Police is still reviewing seized video and ship records after last year's campaign, which was dramatic and confrontational. That investigation reportedly was prompted by complaints from Japan. "
Why has it taken so long for the Australian Ferderal Police to review the video and ships records? What is it that they need? Isn't the Australian government overseeing this entire situation? The Australian PM and the 'Aussies' themselves are not 'exclusive' in terms of being exempt from caring about marine mammals being hunted by the Japanese and slaughtered for dollars... are they? Sorry if you're an Aussie 'mate' but hey... a reality check needs to happen sooner than later. Captain Paul Watson and crew and the company from Animal Planet are ready to roll... integrity and courage to 'tow the line' ... as the late Senator Teddy Kennedy might have said! (i.e. "tow the line" referencing the same)

CONTACT PM KEVIN RUDD > PM.gov.au and KevinPM.com.au AND LET'S "GET REAL" !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Tom.

If Australia continue with their stealth obstruction policy attempting to deny visas to SSCS crew then we will hold them responsible for every whale death at the hands of the Japanese murderers this season.

Prayers are with Captain Watson. I wonder if the Australians will rise to the occasion and stage mass protests against a government selling out on pre-election promises.

Thanks Tom

Thanks Tom!!!

First Australia says they want Japan to halt the slaughter (not specific words in article - but, close enough) then they start this stupid ACTION, AND YES, THIS IS ALL POLITICS!!!! They will get exposure from the "Whale Wars" for their country doing this, and they are going "behind the back door"! Just like all politics!!!

Captain Watson can DO NO WRONG in my eyes, wish there were a TON more like this guy that goes out to help our sea creatures from this horrid slaughter...they run these whales down until they are exhausted, then harpoon one leaving its mate (lifelong) mate to cry, while they pull these whales up to the side of the boats and proceed to shoot them. SO SAD AND HORRIBLE!!!

Totally ILL and SICK, needs to stop!!! Personally, I thought this frivious charge against Captain Watson was dismissed, but that could of been a different one!!!

Someone does great and lifesaving work for our Oceans and he gets thrown under the bus. Anyone who has any smarts knows this guys is a HERO!!!

HEAD HELD HIGH CAPTAIN WATSON -- YOU ARE THE VOICE FOR THOSE VOICELESS CREATURES, MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND IN MY HEART OF HEARTS I KNOW YOU HAVE ONLY DONE GOOD, PRAYING THAT THESE FRIVIOUS CHARGES BE DROPPED IMMEDIATELY AND I TOTALLY BACK YOU WITH ALL MY HEART AND SOUL!!!

Go get them Captain Paul. The harder they fight you the more you know that what you do is right and good. I think everyone at Care.2 should stick together for this one and make a big fuss. We have to many voices to let it go, someone will listen... I am I just surprised about the Aussie also, they have the barrier reef and they need to think about what could become of that. I didn't think they were into raping the ocean like the JAPANESE. BUT MAYBE I AM WRONG.

Anyone who is in doing petitions, could you please start one up so that we send it to Australian Government and voice our outrage at what they doing.

Personally, I don't do petitions but please anyone who know how and is good at it, start a petition.

The Australian government is responsible for causing a serious cloud of political red-tape sadness to hang over the launch of a new campaign for the Sea Shepherd. Still, for whatever reason, I have a feeling that Captain Watson will surmount this snafu and continue to come out a champion. One thing we can all do for this campaign is to think positively on behalf of Captain Watson and his crew. They can use all the positive energy they can get. So.. here's to the most successful campaign EVER -- with Captain Paul and Peter H. on board right where they belong.

Big money supporters are behind Japan and her allies in the whaling massacres. As we have seen they are hard to go up against year after year. Each season Japan comes up with new ways to stop Paul and his crew including backing from governments willing to accept money under the table. As always Paul will win out in the end because he he wont give up.

Mr. Watson and the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society
are wonderful and extreemly brave people making a diffrence to the world as well as to future Generations, so our children can enjoy seeing these beautiful and and important animals . Saving our worlds marine life and oceans is paramount to our worlds future .
Japans position is that they are killing whales for research purposes, which is a lie or " utter hogwash as my grandma use to say!"
Japan whaling massacres cant be accepted .
The law needs to be changed and the loop hole closed .
Japan is endangering the lives of both crews.
Sea Shepherd is protecting marine life , Japan is cruel and only out to make profits. Future World Historians will speak volumes about Japan's greed.
The Australian government needs to stand up and support
Sea Shepherd Conservation Society and Mr. Watson . Mr. Watson is a hero and the world knows!!!

Come on Australia have you forgotten what the cowardly, dishonourable Japanese did to Aussie NZ and UK POW's in WW2 withstill no meaningful apology now they continue their dishonest and dishonourble, cowardly conduct against whales and dolphins, Not to mention endangering the lives of their own crew and the Sea Shepherds! I always thought of Aussies as being regular upfront guys who were not afraid to stand up for what is right so what happened to your gutless Government. Get the Aussie Navy chasing these illegal whalers!

The sea life does not belong to Japan. It belongs to everyone on the planet to care for and protect. Japan only pillages and plunders OUR oceans. It is time to put a stop to it. Paul is a hero, and why is it that Paul and the Sea Shepherds (I am a Sea Shepherd) are the only ones out risking their own lives to protect the whales? Why are there not others doing the same? Yes, it is pure politics, Japan threatens, Australia caves in. Get some guts, Australian Govt., and stand up for what is right, not for what is politically advantageous. Japan is breaking the law with these killings. Do something about that. I watch Whale Wars, and I saw the collision, in which the Japanese ship deliberately turned into Paul Watson's ship at the last moment. Japan is at fault for that collision, if you have it on tape, watch it frame by frame. Keep on with the good fight, Capt. Watson, we are behind you, no matter what the Australian Govt. thinks. They should be behind you, not impeding your actions. Can't wait for Whale Wars to be back on Animal Planet soon.
