This video clip is only 7 1/2 minutes in length but the contents of what he is saying might be worth a home to a lot of people. Please, pass this on for all on your list. I know we all want each of the threads we support to be done so but this one is more than about the subject...this is also about the man who is out there fighting for all of us. As Mac said..."Finally a representaive who is ready to fight for the average person!".

United we can stand ,and fight, against the wrongs we face today in this country and succeeded with leaders like Mr. Grayson doing what his job calls for...'doing what his supporters are asking/telling him that they want him to do. .Together we can respectuflly with much enthusiam in suporting one another to stop this run away Greed and madness, that Wall Street is raining down upon this Country and it's People.

If this doesn't make you angry then perhaps you have no anger left. This could obviously affect any or all of us. This is just one more of the many and constant assaults perpetuated against honest citizens by the predatory institutions. We must stand together, we must be angry and ready to fight for one another - after all by fighting for each other we fight for ourselves. The last few times I ran stories about these horrible situations, a few of you told your personal stories, maybe you need to tell them to your local newspaper, Congress person and Senators.

Make these uncompromisingly corrupt business to be held accountable for their actions.

I wonder if there are enough honest politicians left to end this rampant fraud! You'll know, when they vote on it! Let's make a list of those that vote against it and find a way to immediately oust them!

This is outrageous. A lender has a right to foreclose on a property if, and only if, it complies with the law throughout the process. People can't expect to keep their property if they can't pay the mortgage; however, they should be able to expect that the law will be complied with in every regard and that any protection the law affords them will be theirs.

I guarantee that this story is going to explode over the coming days and become the biggest headline in American news. Everyone nees to read the entire article, not just watch the video, because the rest of the article explains how this works and just what the enormous potential ramifications are. Be informed! You need to understand this story when it gets to dominating the headlines.

Kit, right on! People need to tell their stories to the media, again, because as this story explodes the media will no longer be able to ignore plight of the people and the criminal enterprizes the banks and lenders have become.

Ricardo, at this point it is a matter for the courts, so we have to ask if there are enough honest and fair judges out there to serve justice on these banks. The politicians will come into the picture if some join Alan Grayson and demand that the court system uphold the laws and don't give the banks a pass, which they did at first in this matter, as Grayson pointed out. But after that, the entire congress needs to absolutely refuse to bail these banks out this time, and the people need to yell loudly and organize to demand that they DO NOT bail them out of this mess!

All the corruption that has been allowed has fed this attitude of indestructibility, now we must bring it to a halt. Jae and Mac, get thee to a petition site, we will all sign it, and keep working to get even more signatures.

Ricardo, I like your thinking! Hold them accountable, put their feet to the fire. And now my usual question when these horrendous things leak out - where is the national news for this all important bit of information? Telling the latest Palin/Beck stories - like any one really cares?

Yes, Craig, zero accountabililty and regulation is their mantra. Big biz will always do the right thing and self correct, is their delusion, but hey, Glass Steagal was brought down under Clinton, and Larry Summers was instrumental in that process along with Phil Gramm, so the dems are not without blame. It's just that the republiscum are proud of being the lapdogs of the 1% and they don't mind saying it, re: Joe Barton of Texas whining about how Obama "assaulted" BP over the oil spill and apologizing to BP on the floor of the house! And too many examples to list.

Well, when you look at what's happening today, it all makes sense...The Banking Corporation's own and control, our houses, The Pharmicutical, and Health Insurance Corporations, control our Health, and Corporations, like Monsanto, and others like them are trying to Control our Food supply, plus are poisoning us in the process...And the Government, they are screwing us in all phases of our lives...It reminds me of that old song, I used to hear when I was a kid...About selling our souls to the Company Store, because they own everything in our lives...The Company Store being the Corporations, who control, our jobs, our food, our health oue homes, and our money, plus just about everything else that effects our lives...Land of the free my ass!!!!!

It is frightening to see just how greed has become enemy #1 in this country. When I started working in banking/finance/mortgage lending 45 years ago, mortgages were held and serviced by the bank or saving and loan company that originated them. As the years progressed, first loan originators were put on commission, then companies were deregulated, then mortgages became securitized and along the way sub-prime mortgages became the profit game. Laws have been in place but were largely ignored and not enforced. Where we are today is a nightmare and we must become peaceful warriors for ourselves and our neighbors and let our voices be heard loud and clear. No one should have to go through fradulent forclosure alone. I tried to help a friend of mine get a modification of her mortgage with Chase and over months, was never able to speak to a real person. I was finally able to get her a refinance at a credit union but I know firsthand the greed of the big banks. Support your local credit union or small community bank, let your elected representatives hear you loud and clear.... and vote.

Wonder how many were fore closed on inappropriately already. A friend I talked with yesterday said her mortgage company sent them a letter doubling their payments telling they that they owed back home insurance for the past six years. She had insurance with her own company and told them to forget it. Fortunately they backed off, but for people with little battle left in them might just throw up their hands and hand them the keys to the house. She also told me about another attempt for them to try to mess up their loan and collect more which was pretty shady too. I told her she should go to the news with this as others might be affected. They are looking for more ways to scam the public and make more money so it seems.
Glad that the 65,000 mortgages in New York were halted, and perhaps they will never find the original mortgage papers and people can keep their homes with no further payments. But they should keep paying until they know for sure. Such a crummy bunch of people. We must get rid of the Federal Reserve who is working for the banks and is not a government institution, but an organization of banks.

I can't send you another star this week, Linda, but thank you for spreading the message I've been repeating for several years now: Run away from the big banks and do your banking with local banks and credit unions!

I've been the administrator (executor) of my late brother's estate since 07. There were 7 properties in the estate, all heavily mortgaged with big banks and mortcos, from Wells Fargo to Chase, to BofA to Countrywide to WaMu. I've sold down to three at this point but you wouldn't believe the ways they have almost all tried to screw me around. Wells Fargo and WaMu/Chase being the worst. Wells Fargo has tried to foreclose twice on one property and Chase three times on another. One of those times with WF I had been gone for a couple of months and wasn't getting mail forwarded cuz of the stupid local PO, and when I called to pay a late and a current note the ass on the phone demanded I take over the loan personally and send him a complete 7 year financial history. I tried to tell him that I cannot take over the loan because I represent myself and two siblings. If I got the loan in my name then I would be able to keep every penny of profit when it was sold. I told him that administrators of estates can be appointed by courts and can be anyone, that they don't even have to have known the deceased, so no bank can make an administrator liable for a loan. He refused to get a superior on the line and refused to back down from his powertrip. I finally hung up and decided I'd call the next day and get someone else with some common sense who I could pay the notes to. When I called the next day I was told that the loan was put in foreclosure the day before.

Cost the estate over a thousand bucks for that aholes powertrip. And that's just one of the nightmares I've been through with these banks. Chase decided early this year to debit $2,700 out of my local bank where I have the estate account and it took me three months and the Comptroller of the Currency Office to get it back, minus the phone debit fee! So, I've been telling anyone who would listen to take their business out of any big banks if they can. Everytime I talk to a rep of one of them on the phone or at a branch I tell them that I am not calling them personally this, but the bank you work for is pure evil and if you stay with them it will affect you. LOL I do! I say that!

Investment adviser Christopher Whalen thinks we could soon be looking at more Wall Street bankruptcies. If so, hopefully we won’t fall into the trap this time of underwriting the losses while letting the banks keep the profits. If we the people are picking up the tab, we should insist on owning the banks.

Thanks for the forward Carole. I hope everyone watched the next video too. It was FAUX "News" analyzing Grayson. What a bunch of malarkey. If the RepubliCons had not forced deregulation of banks in the forst place, none of this would have happened. Forgery? Fraud? They are corporations (people according to SCOTUS). Treat them you would any common forger or person who commits fraud. Prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law!
This is my favorite part of the article accompanying the video. Read on
Mac Duff: "All of this is a major headache for the banks, but according to the New York Times, “The companies say they are reviewing their procedures to take care of any violations.” They seem to think they can correct the problem by redoing some paperwork. But if the holdings in recent court decisions are upheld, it will not be just a question of hiring extra staff to clean up some files. For all those mortgages filed in the name of MERS, say these courts, the chain of title has been irretrievably broken. Humpty Dumpty has had a great fall and cannot be put back together again."

Noted, thanks. I saw on of those 90 second foreclosure hearings on TruTV...very surreal and utterly heartbreaking. I read that real estate agencies in FL were having bus tours for prospective buyers of foreclosure homes...also surreal. I admire our "radical" attorney general Dick Blumenthal, who is now running to replace Chris Dodd in the Senate. If I have to hear LInda McMahon say one more time that DB never did anything for the average citizen I will probably smash the tv (fortunately every time her ad comes on my husband mutes it). GREED has been running this country for far too long....it must be stopped.

Mac great post, thanks for forwarding Just. I think the American economic system is completely rotten. When even the government as such is supporting this illegal activity there is little hope for saving it. You may need a complete economic/political restructuring. However, as long as the political and economic elites are gaining advantage from the system, it has to be the people who demand theses changes. All of it comes from the fundamental values of the neo-liberal policies with their sole focus on profit making over concerns for society and nature. These policies also demands deregulation of laws that are in place exactly in order to prevent such devastation from happen. We need a 180 degree change: Global governments need to control and limit businesses and securing the interests of society and nature. As it is now governments are securing the profits of businesses while controlling and limiting - in fact exploiting - society and nature. If the governments do not want this change, the whole system is not fruitful for people, hence we must take action. That is exactly what is discussed in Tippers post "Enough is Enough ~ Video Explains" go to this URL

That's right Patricia, they can't just add staff in India to shuffle paperwork and cure this massive screw up. I'm anxiously waiting to see how the courts and state AGs handle this. The most promising thing about it is that the state AGs have a vested interest in going after them because they screwed each state out of so much money in fees and filings when states were already hurting so bad from the loss of tax revenue from the very homes the banks stole. It's looking like a big helping of poetic justice is coming down the pike!

And Olivia, McMahon is all about dropping the minimum wage in this economy. That ought to go over like a lead balloon! And she didn't even know what the hell the wage is! Who's calling who "elite"????

It is slowly but steadily becoming the cast that, even though the people with most of the money literally stole it from the people who no longer have it, but that it allows the thieves to own most ofl the lawyers simply because they are the only ones that can afford to pay them.

The horror of that reality is that legal means of redress become unavailable to those who have been wronged.

That leaves the innocent with nothing other than extra-legal methods through which to seek justice.

If that is where we are now, and it appears we may be, I'm glad that I was able to live nearly all of my life within a system that had not yet gone to complete savagry.

This is what Globalization is all about.
Bankrupting America is part of their plan,
are you starting to GET IT now.
The final step for the NWO globalization,Cap and Trade agenda,
is to bring USA to her knees. This is how they are stealing property.
Even if you pay your mortgage for 30 years all you have to do is
miss 3 monthly payments and the banks can throw you out in the street and steal your house from you.

I'm not sure whether this is the same story, & I don't have time to check it out now, but in ANY event, this needs to become NEWSBREAKING, and not limited to Democracy Now! They say below that it made national headlines, but a C2 search revealed nothing (?) : Lenders Forced to Suspend Thousands of Foreclosures after Admitting to Faulty Review Process:

"The banking industry’s handling of home foreclosures is coming under increasing scrutiny after revelations that employees at several lenders had approved thousands of foreclosure affidavits and other documents without proper vetting. The banking giant JPMorgan Chase has suspended some 56,000 foreclosures after admitting some may have been authorized without proper review. Last week, another major lender, Ally Financial, suspended evictions in twenty-three states. We speak to Andy Kroll of Mother Jones magazine and New York Supreme Court Justice Arthur Schack, who has made national headlines for rejecting dozens of foreclosure filings due to faulty paperwork from banks and lenders. For a very long time the U.S. public has been deliberately deluded by "The Great American Dream", stultified by an abysmally primitive education system, fed a tissue of lies through media advertising and thereby bred into easy prey for the vicious voracious vultures of Manhattan. Your entire economy, government and judiciary are controlled by your financial barons. What will you do about it?
Cary, it has nothing to do with the rest of the world eonomically attacking the U.S,A. but with the U.S.A. being an economic plague upon the rest of the world. Where have the Great Depressions been triggered? Insatiable greed is a major element of your national ethos.

As for the Republicans being responsible to deregulating the banks, as was claimed above, I have to point out that although I am far from being a Rethug supporter, they weren't alone and had a powerful Democratic ally, according to what is written here:

Mon Mar-17-08 "Question for Clinton and her supporters- does she and do YOU support Clinton's repeal of the Glass Steagall Act?"

"Clinton, Republicans agree to deregulation of US financial system (November 1999)

An agreement between the Clinton administration and congressional Republicans, reached during all-night negotiations which concluded in the early hours of October 22, sets the stage for passage of the most sweeping banking deregulation bill in American history, lifting virtually all restraints on the operation of the giant monopolies which dominate the financial system.

The proposed Financial Services Modernization Act of 1999 would do away with restrictions on the integration of banking, insurance and stock trading imposed by the Glass-Steagall Act of 1933, one of the central pillars of Roosevelt's New Deal. Under the old law, banks, brokerages and insurance companies were effectively barred from entering each others' industries, and investment banking and commercial banking were separated. ..."

Aren't those numbers paralyzing? 56,000 that are being suspended - and how many that have already been foreclosed upon? Would it not have been better for all concerned if the banks had worked with the people to see what could be worked out? Sometimes life hits you hard and it's not always the homeowners fault if they can't pay - and sometimes it's a temporary situation. But just going foreclosure-crazy helps nobody and hurts everyone.
Sometimes it feels as if civilization has made no progress at all....

Boy, some great posts here! PeasantDiva, yes, it's part of the same story, just a different article and people. The story I posted is Alan Grayson's explanation of what's going on. Everyone needs to read all the articles they can to get the biggest picture of this story, because as I said it's going to be the biggest story in the news for a while as soon as it sinks in to the public and the pols just how huge this is.

And I know there are a lot of posts on this thread, PeasantDiva, but I covered this about the Glass Steagall Act above, when I said exactly what you point out, that dems as well as repugs were in on this, particularly Larry Summers and Phil Gramm, the architects of that bill.

And Arielle, you said, "But just going foreclosure-crazy helps nobody and hurts everyone." But the problem with that statement is that all this DOES help the richest 1% of our country's thieves in Bill Blass suits with Rolexes. It has helped them suck 96% of our country's wealth into their private bank accounts, and of course there's the whole multi-level class of blood suckers up the chain who feed on our blood by carrying out the wholesale raping of the country for these subhumans. These people have no loyalty to anything but their bank accounts and they truly do not feel any remorse for destroying millions of lives. They sleep just fine in decadent luxury at night in Dubai and Manhattan.

Mac, this article led to a day of research and reading for me...out of interest for the global implications but also because American working people, good people, are being robbed and cheated by slick tongued spin doctors who have only profit on their minds. This is an off-shoot of the CDO fiasco that rocked the global economy. I found interesting points which I would like to share. It is imperative that if you find MERS anywhere on your mortgage that you find out just what the law in your county/state is as regards documentation needed for legal foreclosure. I read today that in 23 States the foreclosures have been halted, therefore in the other 27 they have not because in those States foreclosure of a person's property is not a judicial matter, but written into the contract between borrower and lender. In these States this next bit of information may be useful to someone:

Simply put, mortgages held by MERS have been split into two elements:

1. A note between lender and the borrower determining the amount of money owed (promissory note)

2. A document naming the ownership of the mortgage which is referred to as a 'deed of trust' or mortgage.

MERS only holds one of these documents, the deed of trust, and therefore they have no legal standing to enforce foreclosure on anyone's property. It would seem that at the moment the biggest problem is that no one seems to know who exactly owns your promissory notes as a lot of notes have been endorsed in blank and so they weren't assigned to anyone in particular (as mortgage fragments were sold on from one bad fund to another)! MERS don't act on their own volition but represent the demands of their clients (the shareholders of MERS). MERS was created as a vehicle to bypass existing laws and protection measures in place for mortgages lending and to avoid paying continual change of ownership fees to local councils, by the very people who needed to shift hacked up mortgages to buyers (CDO's) across the globe. So...if you do have MERS on your mortgage then it is advised that you employ the services of a specialist lawyer and start a CLEAR CHAIN OF TITLE action. At the same time you obtain an interpleading order and pay your mortgage directly to the court every month until clear title has been established. You are perfectly within your rights to do so (see information provided by chinkinthearmor.net below)

The problem is that Wallstreet and The Money Lenders just keep coming up with schemes like this. By the time they're caught they have bilked people out of billions and all they get as punishment is a slap on the wrist. The Goldman Sachs "record" fine was recovered in one day with the increase in their stock price after the settlement had been announced.

I've been watching stories such as those mentioned in the video happen here in AZ, as we all have in our hometowns. It's everywhere, no one is safe, or immune. It's a true horror watching our family, friends and neighbors losing their homes in the blink of an eye. Too many good, hardworking, trusting people being cheated and scammed.

One of our news stations here in Phoenix tries to help people being wronged, not just in foreclosures, but any scam that "entrepreneurs" or businesses are trying to get away with. They take on the banks and businesses, and fight for the consumers who maybe about to lose their homes, been wronged by insurance companies trying to strong arm them into paying for medical bills they don't owe, etc. I wish there were more people out there to fight for the little people.

I have never been a home owner myself, but on one hand after seeing how things have developed, I feel I have somehow avoided the immense hardship, the sheer anguish, that too many are experiencing now. The rampant fraud, forgeries, all the corruption, would have most likely placed me on the same road where I would have found myself in the same position. I would be a statistic of the homeless.

As Jae so aptly shared, "Together we can respectfully with much enthusiasm in supporting one another to stop this run away Greed and madness, that Wall Street is raining down upon this Country and it's People." This is what we must continue to do - I know it makes us angry, but instead of lashing out with that anger, venting our rage, we need to find a way channel that energy into a positive to take action - make the changes happen instead of letting the corruption continue to mushroom until there are none of us "little people" left.

This video is a definite must watch. Thank you Mac for getting it out there for more to see. Thank you Irene and Barbara for forwarding it to me so that I too could watch and share the video!

It is my fervent wish that these banks are sued out of business. It has been a "Screw the consumer" mentality since Bush & Gang got their hands on the White House. Our government is to protect us from this stuff, not to be involved in it by deregulating and taking their kickbacks from Big Business to screw us over some more. It is so widespread and complicated, but I hope some Large Legal Firms from all over the country get Class-action lawsuits started immediately and that the people who lost their homes get new ones free of charge as part of the settlement.

Following are excepts from an article I posted yesterday called Hope in the Age of Disposability by Henry A. Giroux. I feel it speaks to the magnitude of this fraud and to all the horror people are being subjected to in this terrible time.

Thank you for this important article, Mac, and for all the great comments. I certainly hope you are right and that this latest outrage against the middle and working classes hits the fan big time and splatters across the front pages.
Along with this is the assault on the poor, i.e. cutting social services while keeping tax cuts for the uberwealthy. To me it is another part of the "cruel and unjust neoliberalism" written of in this article, another symptom of the "increasing symbolic, material and institutional violence," of a disease, so to speak. The perpetrators, the engineers of this economic disaster go unpunished, if fact, they go on to create billions more in profits because of it, while their victims continue to be punished, losing their savings, their livelihoods, their homes, often their hope and their health. This article is speaking of our youth, but it is not only them that are now under siege.

"The crisis I speak of in this instance is about the plight of youth as a social and political category in an age of increasing symbolic, material and institutional violence. It is a crisis rooted in society's loss of any sense of history, memory and ethical responsibility. The idea of the public good, the notion of connecting learning to social change, the idea of civic courage being infused by social justice, have been lost in an age of rabid consumerism, media-induced spectacles and short-term, high-yield financial investments. Under the regime of neoliberalism and a rigidly market-driven society, concepts and practices of community and solidarity have been replaced by a world of cutthroat survival, even as politics has become an extension of war. What youth learn quickly today is that their fate is solely a matter of individual survival, a natural law of sorts that has more to do with survival instinct than with modes of collective reasoning, social solidarity and the formation of a sustainable democratic society."

"Bob Herbert has recently argued that the rich and powerful are indifferent to poor people and, of course, he is right, but only partly so.(12) In actuality, it is much worse. Today's young people and others caught in webs of poverty and despair face not only the indifference of the rich and powerful, but also the scorn of the very people charged with preserving, protecting and defending their rights. We now live in a country in which the government allows entire populations and groups to be perceived and treated as disposable, reduced to fodder for the neoliberal waste management industries created by a market-driven society in which gross inequalities and massive human suffering are its most obvious byproducts.(13) The anger among the American people is more than justified by the suffering many people are now experiencing, but an understanding of such anger is stifled largely by right-wing organizations and rich corporate zombies who want to preserve the nefarious conditions that produced such anger in the first place. The result is an egregious politics of disconnection, not to mention a fraudulent campaign of lies and innuendos funded by shadowy, ultra right billionaires such as the Koch brothers,(14) the loss of historical memory amply supported in dominant media such as Fox News and a massively funded depoliticizing cultural apparatus, all of which help to pave the way for the new barbarism and its increasing registers of cruelty, inequality, punishment and authoritarianism."

Land of the Free, eh? Free to steal, free to screw everyone over, and the free home that was stolen from the homeowner.

Bingo, Judith P. you are so right we must get rid of the head of the Snake, the Federal Reserve. Few realize that this is where most of our issues eminate from.

On the night of November 22, 1910, a small group of surrogates of the most powerful bankers of the World met, under the veil of utmost secrecy, at specific little-used tracks of the railway station in Hoboken, New Jersey. Each of these secret banking agents had his own private railway car with new servants who would not recognize the identity of these men. The men traveled in silence to their secret destination, the elitist resort island off the coast of Georgia named Jekyll Island. Over the next few weeks these men would perpetrate, under the orders of their masters (men such as the Rothschild, Rockefeller and Morgan bankers) perhaps the most colossal and devastating fraud ever inflicted upon the American People.

This ultra-secret fraud is known as the Federal Reserve Act of 1913.

This monumental, yet secret fraud had swindled untold billions of REAL dollars from the hands of the American citizenry, from the moment of the birth of the Federal Reserve Act (sneaked through Congress on Christmas Eve, 1913) until the day when one courageous President of the United States, John Fitzgerald Kennedy, determined that he shall return the United States Treasury to its rightful task of printing UNITED STATES SILVER CERTIFICATES, notes that represent REAL money, silver held in reserve by the United States Government — silver which the U.S. Government promises to pay, upon demand, to the bearer of that certificate.

And we all know what happened to John Fitzgerald Kennedy........ASSASSINATED.

President Lincoln was offered help from England and France to fund the Civil War, loans of coarse with interest. He thankfully, turned them down, as he knew his own Government didn't have to go through their private banking system.

"The Government should create, issue, and circulate all the currency and credits needed to satisfy the spending power of the Government and the buying power of consumers.

By the adoption of these principles the taxpayers will be saved immense sums of interest.

The privilege of creating and issuing money is not only the supreme perrogative of Government, but it is the Governments greatest creative opportunity."

Abraham Lincoln ASSASSINATED President of the United States

Honest Abe didn't play the tune to the right fiddle either........the fiddle that the powerful interests had in mind.

"Whoever controls the volume of money in our Country is absolute master of all industry and commerce....and when you realize that the entire system is very easily controlled, one way or another, by a few powerful men at the top, you will not have to be told how periods of inflation and depression originate."

James A. Garfield ASSASSINATED President of the United States

I am proud to live in Central Florida where Alan Grayson is from. He needs are backing, he needs to be told thank you, and he needs to be protected.

The Head of the Snake people is the Federal Reserve, and I'm not sure who will be brave enough, or one might even say foolish enough to bring it down. But we need them all in Congress to do so, and we can see how none of them can agree on even some simple things, let alone chopping off the head of the snake.

I missed your comment, Mac, sorry -- but it didn't clear up the issue: I was responding to Patricia who said,"If the RepubliCons had not forced deregulation of banks in the forst place, none of this would have happened," & I didn't notice any comments after hers clarifying that erroneous point.

Thanks for responding, though.

Dandelion G., you make some very astute observations. Grayson deserves a lot of credit and our support as well for his dedication in standing up for what's right. I just hope he is taking adequate steps to protect himself. Few others in government even come close to his tenacity in holding corporations accountable. The fact that he has the courage to expose the corruption that the banks are involved in could concievably put him in great danger.

Thank you a very useful and heartbreaking article... I would urge thse of you who are not in the US not to be complacent it could happen in the UK, Oz, or anywhere that banks think they can make a quick buck by fraudulent means, it has become the norm, and they have the gaul to expect taxpayers to bail them out and still they expect obscene bonus's for the fraud they undertake. It is enough to make you 'puke'

There are quite a few excellent comments here & I've sent a bunch of stars, but I would like to re-print Lionel Mann's, at least the parts of his comment that I think need to sink in:

"The U.S. public has been
--deliberately deluded by "The Great American Dream";
--stultified by an abysmally primitive education system;
--fed a tissue of lies through media advertising;
-- and thereby bred into easy prey for the vicious voracious vultures of Manhattan.

Your entire economy, government and judiciary are controlled by your financial barons. What will you do about it?

Cary, it has nothing to do with the rest of the world eonomically attacking the U.S.A., but with the U.S.A. being an ECONOMIC PLAGUE upon the rest of the world."

I would add: Who controls the World Bank, the World Trade Organization, the International Money Fund ??

"Insatiable greed is a major element of your -OUR- national ethos."

For those of us who love & admire Grayson for all of his public positions that defend PEOPLE, don't forget Marcie Kaptur, who from the start, has been defending people against FORECLOSURES, since her Ohio constituency hit especially hard by the ailing economy counts many many many in this situation. She is the lady, the longest serving Representative in the House, who hand delivered to then-Treasury Sec Paulson a list of her dispossessed constituents, a list of more than 4,000 foreclosures that had occurred in Lucas County in just one year, 2008: their names, typed small four columns/page, she unfolded the list at the top of the Treasury stairs, and it went all the way down to the bottom. (see the picture)

She is famous for having said over & over that foreclosed homeowners should stay put & squat their own homes.

"From the House floor, Representative Marcy Kaptur told the American people: "So you can say whatever you want and create a fiction, but the fact is that foreclosures are going up across this country. That bill that was passed last year was supposed to help people hang onto their homes. In Ohio, foreclosures have gotten worse every month.

What I am telling people right now is, stay in your homes. If the American people, anybody out there is being foreclosed, don't leave, because I will tell you what. If you had a smart lawyer like those banks up there on Wall Street can get, they would take you into court and they couldn't find the mortgage. They couldn't find the mortgage.

So why should any American citizen be kicked out of their homes in this cold weather? In Ohio it is going to be 10 or 20 below zero. Don't leave your home. Because you know what? When those companies say they have your mortgage, unless you have a lawyer that can put his or her finger on that mortgage, you don't have that mortgage, and you are going to find they can't find the paper up there on Wall Street.

So I say to the American people, you be squatters in your own homes. Don't you leave. In Ohio and Michigan and Indiana and Illinois and all these other places our people are being treated like chattel, and this Congress is stymied. We have the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression and our committees are muzzled. Power is given to one chairman or one person."

She also wanted President Obama to take Ohio's empty units and require his administration to broker rental agreements with families, so they're not kicked out of their homes, but I don't know what came of that.

Strange that this is making headlines only now - In Oct 2009, Kaptur got a write-up cum videoin the Huffington Post for her 'Project Mayhem,' "a revolution where the wronged refuse to happily play their parts in a fixed game concocted by Wall Street and the government, who work hand-in-hand to protect a tiny coterie of wealthy people, while average Americans unwittingly pick up the bill in a Corporate Socialism system that should really be called the United States of Citigroup, J.P. Morgan, and Goldman Sachs":

"Produce the note," says Kaptur. She means that the banks must produce the mortgage they claim to own. The beauty of this system is that most mortgages were flipped, chopped up, and sold to other lenders and servicers during the lending boom feeding frenzy. As a result, many of the new lenders don't have the proper paperwork to show they own the mortgage.

She saw that and publicized that even then! And this faulty paper trail is the basis for the present scandal.

These are just some exerpts from "The Strange Death of Liberal America":
"As the Republican Counterrevolution gained power, the GOP began nibbling away at Glass-Steagall. These challenges had both symbolic and legal implications. The two pieces of New Deal legislation the have most irked the Counterrevolution have been Glass-Steagall and Social Security. One dared assert that the government in the interests of the greater good had the right to regulate the nation’s financial industry and the other established the principal that the government had a duty to help the less fortunate to insure a level playing field.

It would take too long to recite all the actions that chipped away at Glass-Steagall but a few highlights stand out. In the mid-1980s a Federal Reserve Board stocked with Reagan-Bush appointees began reinterpreting Glass-Steagall in a series of actions that slowly expanded the ability of banks to engage in other financial operations. In 1990, the Fed, under former J.P. Morgan director Alan Greenspan, permitted guess who–J.P. Morgan–to become the first bank allowed to underwrite securities. It is noteworthy that if William Jennings Bryan had had his way about the Federal Reserve Act, Greenspan would have never ascended to the position that allowed him to weaken the act named for the father of the Federal Reserve System.

Four legislative attempts were made to weaken or repeal parts of Glass-Steagall from 1988-1996. One reason they failed is because smaller banks feared that opening the doors to allow banks to trade in securities would lead to the domination of larger banks–a fate that has come to pass. The biggest change came in 1996 when Alan Greenspan issued a ruling allowing bank investment affiliates to have up to a quarter of their business in investments."

This was the start of it. Yes, Bill Clinton signed the bill that repealed the Glass-Steagal Act, but it was put into play during both the Reagan and Bush administrations before Clinton was in office.
Sorry if I wasn't clear before. Maybe I'm wrong but I still think most of our financial woes started with Reagan-omics.

WHAT YOU THINK IS NEW IS IN FACT OLD.. SO ASLEEP.. PLEASE WAKE UP AMERICANS..

"THE REAL TRUTH OF THE MATTER IS, AS YOU AND
I KNOW, THAT A FINANCIAL ELEMENT IN THE
LARGE CENTERS HAS OWNED THE GOVERNMENT
EVER SINCE THE DAYS OF ANDREW JACKSON."
--- President Franklin Roosevelt

When will everyone wake up? 'Wall Street' is a never never land fictional place! It doesn't exist. I mean people realize this, right? That there ARE people controlling Wall Street.. just as a governing body controls a country. When will people begin to realize who controls our politicians.. the corporations, BOTH parties.. Rep AND Dem.. Right AND LEFT.. as well as those on "Wall Street?"

Will people EVER connect the dots on their own? Will people ever realize the Constitution IS WHAT WAS PLACED IN OUR HANDS TO PREVENT SUCH THINGS? THAT WAS THE EXACT REASON! Because as long as Americans ask for their news to be doled out by those in power.. you will see what they want you to see.. you will hear what they wish you to hear.. You will fear the enemies they make up.. fight for the things you are told to fight for.. continue to separate yourselves as left and right.. republican and democrat when in fact there is no real difference. You will continue to deserve everything your getting........
This is why each term you continue to see a continuity of government policy.. The Bush era agenda being expanded on and continued.. Reagan's.. Clinton's.. It's why EVERY person I just listed is a member of the same powerful, secretive, international group....

Some obvious in your face evidence I challenge ANYONE TO COUNTER with me here and now. That or continue to be fooled or just plain hide your head from the lion... because regardless.. the lion will still be there and it will eat you all.

I could post these all day and never go through 1%.. Evidence from every walk of life.. every office.. high and low.. now and then, past and especially PRESENT. And many would still not believe this is going on.. despite its implementation all around you under names that sound less severe. So easily fooled we are. So trusting and naive..

"I risk sounding like a conspiracy theorist, but it's no longer a theory. What I'm about to say is fact. The secret organizations of the world power elite are no longer secret. They have planned and are now leading us into a one-world Communist government."
"The combining of national government started with the European Union—that union started with trade agreements; then a common currency, the Euro; & now a European Parliament that is feverishly passing laws that override the laws of the member nations."

"Now it's North America's turn. Building on NAFTA, the Commerce Department is busy drafting laws and regulations for a North American Union, a union of the Canada, America, and Mexico. No treaty has been signed, so Congress has not become involved. However, money from our treasury is now being spent for this effort. We will have a new currency, the Amero; and a new Constitution, modeled on the Soviet Union's constitution.

HUGE AMOUNTS OF PROPERTY WILL BE TAKEN IN THE NAME OF FREE TRADE."

How many more would you like before you wake up and turn off the TV to do your own research?

How many more need die? How many more of your rights need be lost to a contrived, never ending war on "terror" before you wake up? How many more laws that you are already unaware of because you don't research anything outside of the contrived and controlled news will go unnoticed?

How many of you know PROTEST AND ACTIVISM IS NOW AGAINST THE LAW!? Think thats funny do you? Why don't you research it and see how disillusioned you are before you laugh.. Because everyone on this website is now considered a terrorist under CURRENT U.S. LAW. Ans every day these laws get worse and more restrictive.. Everyday they are implemented just a little bit more to get you used to them..

This isn't a movie.. this isn't sci-fi... this is America and this IS happening.. hundreds of laws like the one I just posted are passed everyday! Look and you will see I am not selling you lies.

Enjoy what you have because without you even knowing it.. it's all being taken from you faster than you could ever imagine. Only you can change this.. only you can learn about this. Only you should trust you....

After reading all of the preceeding comments (yes I mean all) there is one overlying villian responsible for what has happened in the United States.

Our ridiculous love for "pure capitalism" and the deathold it has on this society. In "pure capitalism" the bottom line is the only important thing. No matter what the means, increasing the bottom line is good in "pure capitalism". People have no value. Morals are irrelevant. Destruction of the environment a mere inconvenience necessary to make sure the "bottom line" is as large as it is possible to make it. In "pure capitalism" there is nothing wrong if it can add one penny to the bottom line.

Many in this nation, me among them, fight for a "blended capita" where the "bottom line" is of secondary importance to the people who are impacted by the negative aspects of a "bottom line only" society. Where the real "externalities" (damage to the environment presently not counted as debits) are quantified and made a part of all asset-debit calculation) by becoming "internalized", noted, and computed.

Capitalism blended with socialism (for lack of a better term) would be the ideal. Where a "social" conscience becomes a valid consideration of what goes into a healthy "bottom line." People who are afraid of the word "socialism" can call it anything they want to. Perhaps calling it "social values" would make it less offensive to those who get hung up on words and not meanings, but if we don't start making "social values" a big part of all of our "bottom lines" our trip down from a respected civilization to a former nation is not only assured, but well deserved.

The US citizens are their own worst enemy. All points of the communist manifesto are ALL in place now in America and still zombies are walking around with their arms extended.
In the race for freedom the American people are so far behind they think they are first.I have posted proof of what you are saying for 2 years in here and I can tell from rebuttal comments they didn't even open the links, totally brainwashed and dumbed down is the new norm.

NOTED. Thanks so much for posting *C*!! We have studied much for over 2 years. The fraud Congressman Grayson discusses is only the TINIEST TIP OF THE ICEBERG!!!!!!!!!! That simple fact is a mortgage (or any credit for that matter!), does NOT equal a loan. No money or credit is ever lent. It's ALL FRAUD. The promissory note is actually LEGAL TENDER, just as FRN'S (Federal Reserve Notes) are legal tender. They siimply to NOT tell us the truth. Our signatures on any promissory note actually CREATE the money. What this means is that they turn each of us into a bank when it suits them and our signature actually creates money. Then they sell every promissory note up to 26 times for it's face value. The banks never risk a dime. They did NOT NEED the bailouts. They hadn't lost anything. It was just another way of redistributing the wealth upwards.

Anyone who really takes the time to do their homework is forced to face the same rude awakening we did. Our entire financial system is nothing but a huge FRAUD and SHELL GAME. It is UNLAWFUL for banks to "loan their own money, money of depositors or their own credit". Our financial system is solely based on "the FULL FAITH AND CREDIT OF WE THE PEOPLE". How many people have actually pondered what that means? It is OUR CREDIT they use. It can be said they BORROW MONEY FROM US, pretend they loaned it, charge interest to us for the privilege of borrowing the money from us.

This FRAUD really took shape when they created the Fed Reserve and then Roosevelt helped propel it further when he took away ALL OUR GOLD. There has been no gold in Fort Knox for who knows how long? Because there is no gold backing our money, it MUST be created out of thin air and it is our CREDIT that creates the money. We were given UNLIMITED CREDIT when our gold was taken. We simple have not been told about this fact. The entire system is just one fraud piled on top of another fraud.

So many thoughtful , intelligent postings here! I've been spending so much time on Care2 I'm neglecting pressing issues here at home (well, where we live, cuz Salt Lake City is NOT home! LOL). Right now I can't reply to all the great comments individually, but I want to shout out to Charmaine, , Dandelion, PeasantDiva, Bonnie, Patricia Lasek, John Goodspeed, and others! You're contributing to peoples' knowledge and understanding of all this, and that's a really good thing.

And to Jason and Lucky Artlady, I have watched Zeigeist the Movie, as well as several series on the fed, Bilderberg Group, CFR et al. I agree wholeheartedly with everything said about the fed, 100%. I do take exception to the climate change denying, wholeheartedly, and I wonder how they can be against cap and trade, the concept? Unless there's something I don't understand about the whole cap and trade idea. But to deny climate change in its entirety is insanity, IMHO. Including something like that in their message turns off a lot of people who might otherwise listen and think about the rest of the story. LIke I said, I have read and watched a number of pieces about the fed and completely agree that this private bank is illegitimate and is destroying our country. They just need to uncluster their message aobut the fed from climate change denying. There is abundant proof that climate change is very real, and who would argue with wanting to cut down on the massive pollution all over the world, of which the US is the biggest contributor for the population size?

Rampant Capitalism is just as dangerous, pernicious, promoting conflict, as rampant Communism. Russia had the commonsense to abandon the latter some years ago. When, if ever, will the U.S.A. come to its senses and abandon the former?

I apologize *C( and Mac~!!! I meant to say thank you *C* for forwarding....There are way too many typo's in my post (as usual)...........sleep deprivation and always being in a hurry can do that. THANK YOU Mac for posting this story....

It's beyond high time for all American's to wake up to the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. It's beyond high time for American government be returned to being a governement of the people, by the people and for the people rather than government "of the banks, by the banks and for the banks." ....

I've been a democrat my whole llife and wad damn proud of it. Then my eyes began to open and my heart broke after 9/11. Unfortunately after much studying and research, I cam to realize that the whole climate change issue is also a fraud. Once a "fraudster bankster, always a fraudster bankster". These people have no conscience, no heart. The only thing they care about is money & power. There is no lie and no act that is to big for them or too far beneath them. The PTW (Powers That Wanna Be), have no conscience. Global warming is REAL but it is NOT MAN MADE. The changed the name from global warming to CLIMATE CHANGE because they realized GLOBAL COOLING was on the horizon and realized there were in for big trouble if they didn't change the name. The idea of man made global warming was created and hammered out by the Club Of Rome (another SECRET SOCIETY) IN 1972. Al Gore (who I USED TO ADORE) is a member in good standing of the Club of Rome. Everyone must wake up and realize we have a CORRUPT DUOPOLY that does the BIDDING OF THE FRAUDSTER BANKSTERS, period. THAT is what they are paid to do for the most part. When the are told to jump they must ask 'HOW HIGH'. Most of 'em only pretend to be working for our benefit. That's why we voted for Cynthia McKinney. She really did work for US and became a threat to the status quo, so they had to assassinate her character so she's no longer a Congresswoman. Nuff said. Here's 2 links to 2 really good websites re: climate change. All propaganda about climate change is another issue that gives me great heartache.

http://www.petitionproject.org/index.php

http://www.green-agenda.com/globalrevolution.html

It's a shame that we live in an age when we MUST UNLEARN EVERYTHING we were taught and do our own homework just sto find out the truth about how EVERYTHING REALLY WORKS, but sadly it's a fact. The deception is so ginormous, it takes real dedication and quite amount of time to peel away the onion to get to the whole truth, but as a mother, I feel must do everything I can to be part of the solution so I am not part of the problem.

Cary Vizzuti, excuse me, but are you out of your mind? I don't want to be aggresive, and I actually thought you sounded OK, well, not totally, I admit. When I read further up, "This is what Globalization is all about.
Bankrupting America is part of their plan," I couldn't help wondering,' WHOSE plan?' and of course, big US multinational corporations have made a fortune from globalization, so did you mean ordinary working Americans being bankrupted by globalization? Well, it wasn't to clear, and sounded a bit too much like a conspiracy to my taste, but I wasn't going to bring it up, not UNTIL THIS ONE: "All points of the communist manifesto are ALL in place now in America."

I don't think you are...shall we say.... on the same wavelength as most of the folks commenting here. Have you been reading these comments?
I'm reading that we have put too much faith into following the tenets of capitalism totally; or that our government is the servant of corporations; our financial woes began with Reagan-Omics; that Clinton clinched the end of much-needed government regulation of the banking industry via signing the bill that repealed the Glass-Steagal Act; and that's what caused the financial meltdown that developed into our current massive economic crisis. I'm reading people of the sort who support Cynthia McKinney, and/or Denis Kucinich...

And you come out with words to the effect that we're on the eve of a Communist take-over.!!!!
Do you even know what it says in the Communist Manifesto?

I think not, otherwise you couldn't seriously consider that 'all of it points are in place NOW in America'!
Where did you ever get such an outlandish and FALSE idea from? Are you a Tea-Bagger?

Cap & Trade seems to me, Mac, to be a false way of making up for environmental violations:
Have you seen this amusing little film: Video: `The Story of Cap and Trade' (Aka Carbon Trading), From the Makers of `The Story of Stuff'. I love it, and it convinces me that Cap & Trade is a hoax.

In a more serious vein, here is a little booklet that discusses what Cap & Trade is doing to indigenous people & their habitat throughout the world:
"REDD," -- .........................................................................
'Reaping Profitsfrom................................................................................................................................................
Evictions, Land Grabs, ...........................................................................................................................................
Deforestation, & .....................................................................................................................................................
Destruction of Biodiversity' ....................................................................................................................................
aka -- 'Reducing Emissions from
............Deforestation &
..............Degradation'

You mentioned global warming in one of your more recent comments: " I do take exception to the climate change denying, wholeheartedly, and I wonder how they can be against cap and trade, the concept? Unless there's something I don't understand about the whole cap and trade idea. But to deny climate change in its entirety is insanity, IMHO. " so I thought these two links might clarify things on Cap & Trade. (global warming denial, I won't deal with.)

Peasant Diva,
NO I am not out of my mind
but you might realize you are in need of a little more information.

On January 10th, of this year, the 45 goals of the

Communist Manifesto are stated in the United States

Congress, by A. S. Herlong Jr. of Florida, and therefore

form the Congressional Record of that day. Below is

that list, which is important to study today to help you

understand whether you live in a "democracy," a,

"republic," or under "Communism," which is of course,

the control of the masses by Jewish interests.

1) U.S. acceptance of coexistence as the

only alternative to atomic war.

2) U.S. willingness to capitulate in

preference to engaging in atomic war.

3) Develop the illusion that total

disarmament (by) the United States would be

a demonstration of moral strength.

4) Permit free trade between all nations

regardless of Communist affiliation and

regardless of whether or not items could be

used for war.

5) Extension of long-term loans to Russia

and Soviet satellites.

6) Provide American aid to all nations

regardless of Communist domination.

7) Grant recognition of Red China.

Admission of Red China to the U.N.

162

8) Set up East and West Germany as

separate states in spite of Khrushchev's

promise in 1955 to settle the German

question by free elections under supervision

of the U.N.

9) Prolong the conferences to ban atomic

tests because the United States has agreed to

suspend tests as long as negotiations are in

progress.

10) Allow all Soviet satellites individual

representation in the U.N.

11) Promote the U.N. as the only hope for

mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand

that it be set up as a one-world government

with its own independent armed forces.

12) Resist any attempt to outlaw the

Communist Party.

13) Do away with all loyalty oaths.

14) Continue giving Russia access to the U.S. Patent

Office.

15) Capture one or both of the political parties in the

United States.

163

16) Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken

basic American institutions by claiming their activities

violate civil rights.

17) Get control of the schools. Use them as

transmission belts for socialism and current Communist

propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of

teachers' associations. Put the party line in textbooks.

18) Gain control of all student newspapers.

19) Use student riots to foment public

protests against programs or organizations

which are under Communist attack.

20) Infiltrate the press. Get control of bookreview

assignments, editorial writing,

policymaking positions.

21) Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and

motion pictures.

22) Continue discrediting American culture by

degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American

Communist cell was told to, "eliminate all good

sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless,

awkward and meaningless forms."

23) Control art critics and directors of art museums.

"Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless

art."

164

24) Eliminate all laws governing obscenity

by calling them, "censorship," and a

violation of free speech and free press.

25) Break down cultural standards of

morality by promoting pornography and

obscenity in books, magazines, motion

pictures, radio, and TV.

26) Present homosexuality, degeneracy and

promiscuity as, "normal, natural, and

healthy."

27) Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed

religion with, "social," religion. Discredit the Bible and

emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does

not need a, "religious crutch."

28) Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious

expression in the schools on the ground that it violates

the principle of, "separation of church and state."

29) Discredit the American Constitution by

calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of

step with modern needs, a hindrance to

cooperation between nations on a worldwide

basis.

165

30) Discredit the American Founding

Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats

who had no concern for the, "common man."

31) Belittle all forms of American culture

and discourage the teaching of American

history on the ground that it was only a

minor part of the, "big picture." Give more

emphasis to Russian history since the

Communists took over.

32) Support any socialist movement to give centralized

control over any part of the culture, education, social

agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.

33) Eliminate all laws or procedures which interfere

with the operation of the Communist apparatus.

34) Eliminate the House Committee on Un-American

Activities.

35) Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI.

36) Infiltrate and gain control of more

unions.

37) Infiltrate and gain control of big

business.

166

38) Transfer some of the powers of arrest

from the police to social agencies. Treat all

behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders

which no one but psychiatrists can

understand (or treat).

39) Dominate the psychiatric profession and

use mental health laws as a means of gaining

coercive control over those who oppose

Communist goals.

40) Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage

promiscuity and easy divorce.

41) Emphasize the need to raise children away from

the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices,

mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive

influence of parents.

42) Create the impression that violence and

insurrection are legitimate aspects of the

American tradition; that students and

special-interest groups should rise up and

use, "united force," to solve economic,

political or social problems.

43) Overthrow all colonial governments

before native populations are ready for selfgovernment.

44) Internationalize the Panama Canal.

167

45) Repeal the Connally reservation so the United

States cannot prevent the World Court from

seizing jurisdiction over domestic problems.

Give the World Court jurisdiction over nations

and individuals alike.

You need help with your sources & your dates, Vizzutti§/

A. Sydney Herlong Jr,. who read the list into the Congressional Record, COULDN'T HAVE DONE IT IN JAN OF THIS YEAR; the man DIED in 1995!

Even the late A. Sidney Herlong Jr hisself (SIC) did not identify the list as being from the Communist Manifesto. He clearly identifies it, before reading the whole boring list of hogwash, as "Current Communist Goals," i.e. a list of goals ATTRIBUTED to 'the communists' by someone who is anti-communist and who is giving his opinion.

You might realize that this bunk was written way before 2010, even if you failed to read the correct year 1963, because much of it is obsolete. Sorry to inform you that your 'bible' is partially obsolete.
You can tell it is opinion because the separation of Church & State is actually part of the US Constitution and not part of a Communist plot. LOL!

EXTENSION OF REMARKS OF HON. A. S. HERLONG, JR. OF FLORIDA

IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

Thursday, January 10, 1963

Mr. HERLONG: " Mr. Speaker, Mrs. Patricia Nordman of De Land, Fla., is an ardent and articulate opponent of communism, and until recently published the De Land Courier, which she dedicated to the purpose of alerting the public to the dangers of communism in America.

At Mrs. Nordman's request, I include in the RECORD, under unanimous consent, the following "Current Communist Goals," which she identifies as an excerpt from "The Naked Communist," by Cleon Skousen..." (http://www.uhuh.com/nwo/communism/comgoals.htm)

Good grief, Vizzutti, if you can't even get your own sources & the dates straight, I tremble to think how you might deal with sources of adversaries of your views...

How about over taxing you & while you dispute the amount charged & they threaten to sell your house. You pay a much higher amount than is due, but once you pay it, you canNOT have it returned. Even if they charged you too much & the "error" was their fault. How can that be legal?I have asked them just that & was told, once you pay your taxes, that ends the dispute. So you can either pay whatever erroneous amount they charge or they have legal right to sell your house for the amount of taxes due. [In other words, they can sell it to a family member for the tiny amount they are falsely charging you, if they want to.] Seems they do not want home-owners to keep their homes.

The reality is LUCKY ARTLADY is correct. I wasn't ever going to broach this issue here but then again.. where better?

The fact of the matter is the U.N. is under several subtle investigations for many things at this moment.. It's difficult to discern but suffice to say.. serious change is a potential result. I think most rational people believe "Global Warming" is a man made design and origin however.. when these same rational people decide to look in to the science.. a picture begins to undeniably become clear.. And this picture is that the same individuals that funded this campaign around the world (the only ones who could make an issue so big.. should be a clue to those 'in the know' right off) are the same Anglo European banking elite who were and ARE RIGHT NOW engineering a global financial collapse to institute the very "one world currency" Prim minister Brown recently called for. The is the oldest art in the book and it actually does go back, ironically enough, to ROME. That is to say you come up with a solution to a problem (the conceptual idea) BEFORE you design and implement the problem (in this case ' Man Made Global Warming'). The fact is.... the documents.. even without all the obvious evidence, id one knows where to look.. PREDATE the fundamental CONCEPT of 'Global Warming.. Umm.. If thats not a clue that everyone should investigate these claims.. and of which the same people who have destroyed the economy here in America are responsible.. I mean if you really trust them.. and they are the ones who first came up with this idea.. then I suppose you should just continue to campaign for a tax on your children and the air you breath (yes, these things ARE on the books NOW). However.. if you find it odd that these same wealthy FEW international BANKERS were the ORIGINAL creators of this concept and 'concern' for the environment.. Then I suggest you begin to look at why over 30,000 scientists and 9,000 PHDs signed a petition claiming this is in fact a scheme.. A scheme to create the most broad and far reaching tax mankind has ever witnessed. In fact.. forget that. I challenge YOU ALL to look at the MILLIONS who are dieing RIGHT NOW because of the fraud. Because this will only get worse the longer this scheme is bolstered and not exposed for what it is. A scheme designed by the most wealthy men on Earth to control the flow of money in the next age as their grip on oil continues to diminish.. We are talking TRILLIONS HERE PEOPLE.. If you don't understand the fundamental aspects of the monetary system and who is pushing this agenda then you likely dont have the tools to discern the truth. And one more thing.. Al Gore doesn't love the trees any more than any other politician. He stands to make untold BILLIONS as well. It's time to quit trusting complete strangers America. It's time to start asking questions.. even when something appears to be a great thing for the world.

IMO.. about the norm here.. 2-3% 'get it' & can see beyond words like Cap & Trade, Capitalism, Democracy, Left/Right, Eco/Enviro etc etc..

I challenge and submit to the REST OF YOU.. Go.. go and venture beyond these words that in the end have no meaning.. words that place no responsibility on ANYONE. Words that only describe systems or ideas. The fact is these words all have creators, controllers, players and pawns.. Real people involved on different levels. Look until you find the controllers.. only then can you even begin to institute sanctions on these systems........

I mean who do you think your fighting? You really think your fighting a system? An idea? Air? NO.. Real people operate within these systems. How this could go on and on for almost 100 years in this country alone is simply amazing to me. Does no one realize flesh & blood PEOPLE operate and control these systems!? People at the top and BEHIND institutions like the FED.. systems like WALL STREET.. Capitalism.. and now ENVIRONMENTALISM.

I mean if people continue to blindly throw around words without having the first clue who operates these things then they can simply change the names of these things and continue to do you harm over and over and over again. So go on then.. complain about the 'FED".. whine about capitalism.. yell about Congress or even the president.... Until you understand who controls these systems, ideas, institutions and people.. you might
as well be whining and screaming any stupid contrived word you like. Yell happy new year.. blame Santa's elves.. it's no different than whining about the FED.. It's a building! A system.. something INANIMATE. In other words.. the same 10 people could rebuild or reform everything I just mentioned under or in new systems and buildings and do this all over to you.. AND THEY DO.. ALL THE TIME! Because the public is never taught who operates these things. EDUCATE YOURSELVES. Learn who controls these things and that will be the first day you become effective in the fight. Until then.. you are simply swinging your fists in the air.. useless.

Read my post above.. Start with the CFR.. investigate it for 1 month.. non stop.. At the end of that month... You will be more aware of the past, present & future geopolitical climates than 90% of the people you know because you are now paying attention to those who influence every policy in every administration in every country in the western world. You'll be able to predict policy, economics.. even wars.. For example: CNBC is owned by NBC which is owned by GE.. GE is a MAJOR defence contractor.. That's why when you hear CNBC say they were 'informed' that a war could spark off with so & so country in so & so amount of time.. you can bet they know this because these their parent company has leaked the data to them. You can use all kinds of this data.. use it to invest in the right stocks.. why not.. they all do!
For the record.. CNBC did predict a war with Iran (in other words.. a war with China and Russia).

????? "" an Anglo European banking elite who were and ARE RIGHT NOW engineering a global financial collapse to institute the very "one world currency" Prime minister Brown recently called for"".
Jason H., you mean the Euro to replace the Dollar ? And that coming from UK Prime Minister ? What a nonsense ! There is NO EURO IN THE UK !!! They refused to adopt it about 10 years ago and still don't want it. Which would have been the "one world currency" then? And why does it go back to ROME ? You should explain that to me.
I think you should inform yourself a little bit better about the European Union, its location (not in ROME !) and about the countries having the Euro before you make and spread your flights of fancy towards the world and try to find a whipping-boy to replace the errors made by your own banks.
Just for you to know : this crash was the biggest and longest bank crash having caused worldwide consequences and Europe is still suffering under it. Due to this American crash, many of our European banks had to be sustained by our governments in order not to go bankrupt too. The Greeks can tell you something about that, they are still having enourmous troubles due to that crash. And all that, I repeat, thanks to your American banking system !
Sorry, Jason H., you have sometimes wonderful ideas and comments, but this time you are really running the wrong way. My advice : try to find another whipping-boy, but not the E.U. !

It seems to me that a lot of the ignore-ant American electorate are finally waking up from the shell shock of the Bush Corporatocracy years. Instead of continuing to defend that illiterate charlatan, though, they blame all the mess on the political ideology that is opposite their own. Whatever.

Thus, they have moved from the DENIAL stage of grief (over the obvious loss of individual liberties, homes, jobs, economic abilities, etc.) into the the ANGER stage. We see this starting with all the Teabagger rants and raves at politicians and just in general. So, here we go moving into the BARGAINING stage. Yet, CONservatards are incapable of bargaining their way out of the mess they are most directly responsible for. Therefore, it is up to the rest of us critical thinkers to drag their lazy butts into a new paradigm, one which is going to hurt, hurt, hurt. (And there is the 4th stage, DEPRESSION---whether economic or psychological.)

When we all accept that the monetary system is that which enslaves us as world citizens, when we all accept that our systems of governments (city-states, despotism, nationalism, fascism, socialism, CAPITALISM, "DEMOCRACY", etc) are obsolete and driving us all to extinction, then and only then can we get a grip on a sustainable life for our children, one in which a resource-based economy is the survival we have to have. Until then, though, we bicker and dicker, all at the amusement of the Corporatocracy. Who is YOUR farmer? Who is YOUR banker? Are you complicit in the extinction?

Thank you, Mac. Alan Grayson became a hero the very first time I saw him on MSNBC. We need him and more like him in charge. And I don't think that his ads are over the top nor his time spent on the floor about the healthcare reform issue. I think that he is the answer to our problems in many ways. And one day I got my mortgage statement in the mail and it was no longer Countrywide Home Loans but a big surprise - Bank of America (which made mistakes it took me four months to correct). I live in an area that has changed from fairly nice to a ghost town of foreclosures of homes and business. None of us has the security of one month to the next in my group and we thought we all had life nailed down and secure back then. I'd vote for Grayson for President. Tell it like it is. When you go to the trouble to copy these texts into a post here, you can go to the trouble to bring the lines back up to each other like the rest of us do when we come across the same thing.

And I don't know why I'm bothering now to respond to your post, but I'm just asking, what year are you living in? This is 2010. The majority of the 'signs' or steps you are warning us about have either never materialized or been tried and failed, like the Soviet state itself. Communism as a way of governing has collapsed completely and lost all credibility. Even Chinese communism has evolved into totalitarian capitalism. There simply is no communist threat and hasn't been since the 80s.

But I'm not going to go into any of your ramblings, and they are ramblings of an unstable person, whomever wrote them, because one of the 'steps' listed is that calling me a gay man normal is a subversive step and part of the communist plan, even though homosexuality was always a crime in EVERY communist nation and still is in some. Sooooo, you can take your bizarre and contradictory delusions and shove them where the sun don't shine, Cary. I don't engage and debate bigots except to stomp on their pointed little heads for fun sometimes, but you're so far out there it's not even worth the chuckle.

PS: When you make a banking dynasty your focal point to expose their evil plan (and I DO believe they are part of the hijacking of the world economies but not to institute communism! Lordalmighty, Cary, at least get a 21st century conspiracy going for ya!) and you write their name over and over again, it's a good idea to know how their name is spelled. Rothschild has an 's' in it, Cary.

And Thomas H, now I know why we became friends on Care2, because you're a rational thinker who sees the bigger picture without cluttering it all up with straw men and constant contradictions of thought. Reading Mr. Herlong's paranoid masochistic fantasies of agents lurking in every corner, requiring at least a quarter of our population being in on the plan for it to be so ubiquitous (that means everywhere, Cary) is good for a chuckle and a roll of the eyes, but I'm not willing to devote much thought or energy pointing out the obvious problems with their conspiracies. There are sinister forces at work and international bankers ad multinational corps are bringing the world to its knees, but the machinations they ascribe to them and the motives and methods are largely lunacy. The oligarchy have only one ideology: money equals control, control equals money. They are not united, nor do they control emergent powers like China and India, and they could give a damn less about cultures, religions, nations or people; all of those are just means to an end. As you said, it's the debt based monetary system period that is the real problem.

So it's the gay thing that ticked you off Mac, I get it now.
Your feelings got hurt and want to blame it on the spacing of letters.
WHO CONTROLS THE MONEY.....????? BANKERS DO. Peel the onion back to the core and you will get the REAL picture, dilutions are for the uneducated.
If you control the money credits you control the world any way you want it to go, and that includes buying your politicians. China owns you, BTW.
And as you said,
you can shove that where the sun don't shine- your rude words not mine.
Grow up Mac

Cary, no, my feelings did not get hurt. I've seen that type of crap and worse way too many times in my life to get hurt feelings over the rantings of a paranoid man from the early 60s. I just used that example to say that your entire posting was comical and I wasn't going to bother refuting whacked out rantings that included things like bemoaning us not having to sign loyalty pledges against communism, and the communists plot to make all public art ugly. Please, Cary, I'm begging you to find a current conspiracy and get into it. There are plenty out there and most of them incorporate the big banking dynasties like the Rothschilds. And I have posted on Care2 before that I believe these international bankers and multi national corporations like Monsanto and Royal Dutch Shell et al are bringing the world to its knees so they can consolidate even more wealth and power into their hands. But there is a lot of available current information for you to feast on; you definitely don't help get your message out by posting the paranoid redundant and contradictory rantings of a whackjob from the 60s and showing us that you completely believe and agree with his screed. Apparently you don't see how ridiculous and downright laugh out loud funny most of his "steps" are, and while I and many others on Care2 agree with the whole thing about big banks and world economies, I think it's safe to say a majority of us DO NOT want to turn this country into a biblical theocracy; we DO NOT want prayer in schools; we DO NOT want to see church and state barriers broken down and on and on. You and Mr. Herlong say you're defending the Constitution? Well those stances are attacking the Constitution, Cary. Many of the things in that screed are afronts to America and its Constitution, and to people who value freedoms and rights. Many of the things he advocated to counter the communist plots are direct attacks on our freedom of choice and freedom from government interfering in our private lives. Okay, so now you got me to directly address some of the post. I shouldn't have told you to take it and stick it where the sun don't shine. I should have just ignored you or at most asked you nicely to edit your posts so that you bring the text lines up to each other. But you did insult me by including that bit about homosexuality as though it is an evil communist plot, and quite frankly, a few of the things it said to watch out for and be afraid of I really hope will succeed, because they are common sense approaches that are fair and Constitutional, and many of them are directly against what communism advocated. Get your plots organized and thought out so they don't constantly contradict common sense or make us laugh out loud, then come back and give us your spiel.

Mac, you are continuing to take your own thread off track because of a quote out of a history book you do not agree with that comes double spaced, because of your personal lifestyle- which is no business of mine.
I got called out and responded to that call like I will every time.
And I wish you would not refer to that particular part of my anatomy in any way. Poor choice of words coming from you we both agree was distasteful.
This issue goes far deeper than you can even imagine. Hundreds of years in the making. A conspiracy indeed constructed in the dark of night through deception and lies. How would you know any different without researching history, and i don't mean the spoon fed propaganda you get on TV and seem to listen too.
" By Way of Deception, Thou Shalt do War" is their motto. PS, I am not religious.

I am half way through another interesting piece of reality you might be interested in if you can sit long enough to watch it through.

DN! Headline :

Obama Won’t Sign Foreclosure Bill ( http://www.democracynow.org/2010/10/8/headlines#1 )

The White House has announced President Obama won’t sign a congressionally approved bill that could have made it easier for banks to foreclose on homeowners. Consumer advocates had criticized the measure over a provision that would have limited homeowners’ ability to challenge foreclosure documents prepared in other states. The White House move comes amidst growing calls for a nationwide moratorium on home foreclosures following revelations major lenders may have committed fraud while forcing thousands of people out of their homes.

The 'nationwide moratorium on home foreclosures' should have come two yrs ago...

I agree, that the moratorium should of happened two years ago. Would of prevented a lot of heartache for millions upon millions. Even those who did not loose a home, their values have gone down on what for many is their nest egg, others can't sell with the blight of empty houses around them, some are underwater on their mortgages, others can't relocate to find work as the For Sale sign sits but the house doesn't move for any amount of monies. It is a true mess and it could of been avoided.

I'm so tired of the so called "moral hazard" that the Elites like to push onto the rest of the population, yet they do not feel any responsibility and "moral hazard" goes out the window for them and what they would like to do. There should be people behind bars for what they did to this system and are still doing, for they haven't learned a thing, as long as they can wheel and deal to make a buck, then fly away to some "safe" Country if the net tightens, they will live like kings somewhere for the rest of their lives.

Many of our elected leadership, and people placed in the guard the hen house, was in with the Theives. They allowed it to go on, turned a blind eye, removed protective regulations, lined their own pockets, and the majority of people took major hits in their life they will never recover from, while the greatest distribution and shift of wealth, in entire human history, was sucked into the top tier of the Wealthy of this Country.

Most people still do not understand how devastating this has been, this shift of wealth, they still live in a myth. Still cling onto the lies. So although I'm glad Obama did what he did, it was rather late, and so we will have to live with the smaller benefits of his finally doing something about it. And this wouldn't have been done either if the people hadn't started to fight back, along with the tremendous courage of the likes of this man, Alan Grayson.......may we get more men and women like him into our Government. But the people are going to have to demand that type of person through their votes.

TAKEN FROM A WRITING ON LINK: http://www.slate.com/id/2266025/entry/2266026/

All my life I've heard Latin America described as a failed society (or collection of failed societies) because of its grotesque maldistribution of wealth. Peasants in rags beg for food outside the high walls of opulent villas, and so on. But according to the Central Intelligence Agency (whose patriotism I hesitate to question), income distribution in the United States is more unequal than in Guyana, Nicaragua, and Venezuela, and roughly on par with Uruguay, Argentina, and Ecuador. Income inequality is actually declining in Latin America even as it continues to increase in the United States. Economically speaking, the richest nation on earth is starting to resemble a banana republic. The main difference is that the United States is big enough to maintain geographic distance between the villa-dweller and the beggar. As Ralston Thorpe tells his St. Paul's classmate, the investment banker Sherman McCoy, in Tom Wolfe's 1987 novel The Bonfire of the Vanities: "You've got to insulate, insulate, insulate."
