Perhaps no vehicle is more synonymous with a country than the Mini is with the United Kingdom. Cute, reliable, practical - it isn't a bad way to be thought of. But many countries have a vehicle on their roads which is synonymous with that country.

disappointed by article, title suggests that different countries would be best served by different cars, this seems to just be "what car symbolizes" that country.

it was fun to read. And I was actually thinking of buying a Subaru, it is one of the practical cars for a Canadian climate. If it comes with heated seats and mirrors, even better

They forgot a couple: France with those darn Renaults broke down in the ditch, and Russia with the Lada guaranteed to break down within 700 miles. East Germany with their 2-stroke plastic Trabant is long gone...
