The technology is astounding but the implications of it's potential applications is indeed frightening. I fear we may beginning to outsmart ourselves.

When George Orwell said "Big Brother is Watching", he had not dreamed that this level of technology would ever exist. Truly terrifying.

incredible for sure, these drones are really intense, on one side. They are being used as a huge help in anti-poaching. So, vis-a-vis always bad and good to advanced war technology. But, its still war.

Enjoy what is left of being an individual with some sense of privacy. Big Brother tracks through peoples phones now and knows location as well as visuals like this. We are like those ants that were in the glass ant houses some children use to have.

Another story along this line may be of interest. Another real eye opener.

Pretty impressive technology. Would that
it would only be used for good, but, we all
know how that usually works.

Wow. I don't know if I should be happy or sad about this. It is amazing, but I know its purpose will be, or is, ultimately military, which means those images will be used to identify and kill people. Probably is being used that way now. Drone strikes, of which I am not fond, that kill people who have never been tried for anything but whom we think we know what they may have done or plan to do. It almost seems collateral damage could be minimized if you can truly identify individual people and NOT kill innocents. We aren't very good at that yet. I'm not sure we should be. Find them? We could do that with this, then capture and try them, that I'd be okay with, I guess. But not assassination of people who have never had their day in court, we don't do that to people in this country, we shouldn't be doing it to anyone else either. Doesn't make us any friends and certainly creates new enemies each time we do such a thing.

I'm sure this main focus of this technology will be used to observe the migratory habits of different species of animals, don't you agree?

If you mean humans then yes, I agree.

To think when I read 1984 back in time- who would have thought it would have come to pass. TY Christeen.

BAE is a British owned company in the U.S., which makes military equipment. This is all being developed here,
but is probably thought useful in detecting where terrorists are located. Unfortunately will invade privacy of all

lol Russell!
I thought things like this were only in the movies. Technology is amazing! I still think computers are fasinating. To be able to copy and paste? This ARGUS is in my mind for the good. I don't like the part where our privacy will be invaded but willing to give that up for the protection of our kids and animals. I want the bad guys to be watched, found and caught. The drug lords, killers, terroists, child sex offenders, etc. Thanks Christeen!

SUper impressive technology! As an old photo interpreter I am amazed and would love working with this. I also can see abuse and therefore hope that this technology remains classified.
