I use a stainless steel flask which I fill with tap water instead of buying the plastic water bottles. If by any chance I am not prepared and do buy bottled water on the rare occasion I make sure it is recycled. I do know a lot of people that are conscientious like I am. If my city would make a decision like San Francisco has I would applaud it.

This should be worldwide.... Here in Ireland these plastic bottles, half full, are dumped everywhere.Tap water is very safe here, but in questionable areas, there are 5 litre containers from which small container can be filled.

Why would anybody want to buy water in a plastic bottle is a mystery to me. We are allowing corporations to brainwash us over and over again.

Great news. I try very hard not to buy water in bottles and rarely do. I always recycle them the few times that I do use them.

A good idea, as there are all sorts of other ways of carrying around water.
