One of my senior dogs, Silver, dreams just about every night. He was rescued from a miserable life fending for himself on the streets and every night I hear him crying and when I check on him his legs are running hell for leather. Shame, I just hug him to reassure him that he is safe.

Leslene...we always have to take care of the abused ones, but my abused girl totally takes care of me....she dreams all the time now after 5 years and she runs....How happy that makes me...actually, I am typing while Jess is running in my bed with wet eyes! I'm RESCUED by HER~

I certainly believe they do. My experience is dogs are more expressive when they are dreaming.
